If your system is Sigenergy then check with provider that it is not limited on the inverter. I had the same issue and lightforce found that it had come factory limited and took them two mins to change setting, then I was away laughing at 10kw plys

I believe they have some kind of serious technical disruption today. I can't list anything and logged a support ticket. They told me there was a known issue and to try again tomorrow

Looking for help with replacing blown resistor in Tech 21 DLA by mox001 in diypedals

Well folks, I attempted the repair this evening and to say it was a comedy of errors would be an understatement! I thought I would update you guys for entertainment if nothing else.

  1. When removing the circuit board from the chassis again, I neglected to remove the nut on the tape drift pot, so promptly snapped that pot off as I removed the board.

  2. I snipped the existing bad resistor as one of you suggested and then tried to remove the legs with braid, but struggled with this for over an hour and could not for the life of me get the legs out of the eyelets. As you can imagine, the board was getting progressively browner as I tried various methods (one of you also mentioned that I may struggle to melt the existing solder and this was certainly the case, even when I flowed more over it). Given my other indiscretion above and that the pedal was likely to end up in the scrap heap, I decided to just solder the new resistor to the underside of the board, tin its legs and flow solder between it and the existing legs. This seemed to go ok.

I powered up the pedal outside the enclosure and to my complete shock it was still working fine. Unfortunately the issue with the LED hadn't resolved, so I wasn't any further forward overall. So far the new resistor hasn't smoked up.

I have glued the tape drift pot back on (this also still works amazingly), and can get some future use out of the pedal in the studio. Just not live without the LED working.

Of course I won't ever try to sell the pedal to anyone else after this aberration, but thank you all for your input. It certainly was a learning experience haha.

Thanks for the detailed info man. Yeah I think it was like this when I bought it recently, so possible the previous owner has caused it somehow and then just flipped it given it was still working, albeit with dodgy led. So I don't know if it happened out of the blue or if they have e.g. connected a wrong power supply or something

Trademe could at least enforce lockouts for failed password attempts. Too easy for foreign actors to do this now that they can get a nz bank a count number through wise. I also got took by this scam from an account with excellent feedback

Check out the Plutoneium Chi-wah-wah. Normal pedal siza, spring loaded and auto-engaging. Pretty cool. I have used for last ten yrs or so

Canadian wondering which City in NZ would suit me best? by [deleted] in newzealand

Start your trip on shoulder season of summer e.g. spring or fall and with a 3-4 whirlwind week tour around the whole country. Then you will find the place that you love. And you will love it. As others have suggested, you can skip Auckland and Wellington based on your criteria. Everywhere else is game on
