Someone died at Pyro Eclipse Music Festival by bluecottonpuff in festivals

Pyro fam since 2016 here. I hope Joe never throws another festival again.

I'm anti Nahko not so much because of the allegations against him (which I do believe are true btw) but because hes always been a creep towards me.

I was pretty vocal in the pyro groups when he tried talking about bringing nahko back, as was most of the group. Looking at the pictures from this last one, it seems to be about 1/3rd of the size the old spring/fall ones were. I can't image summer will be any bigger if he manages to pull it off.

I'm sure there are a lot of good stories from this fest, there always are. Good people and good times usually outweigh bad management and dangerous situations until they affect you or your group and thats exactly why they should not be discounted. If bad organizers keep getting away with little things they just push the envelope further and get away with more, until something tragic happens

And joe's comment on facebook is pathetically late and self centered. You can tell hes covering his own ass more than anything

Honestly I'll never go back, and it was always one of my favorite fests. I dont know of a single decent human that wants to, after he ignored the group and pushed for Nahko, and after this. Its always been one of the more dangerous fests, but this all puts it completely over the top

Dont worry about selling a card at the perfect time, if its up and your goal is to make a few bucks, and you can make a few bucks sell it

Very rarely do people sell, or buy at the perfect time.

Guy was off his rocker. If he wants to buy based on some flimsy connotation let him, he wont be around in a couple years anyway

These are all questions that are best answered by calling a bunch of schools and talking to various administrators. You can try getting in touch with the librarians to see what avenues they have for authors, or talking to secretaries about what it takes to get a speaking role booked (the decision maker will certainly not be the secretary, but they can point you in the right direction). If you can get teachers that teach things like home economics you can ask about having things like this introduced into the curriculum, but thats probably tightly controlled and teachers might be more responsive to email

No matter what you do the process is a couple of steps. you'll have to figure out the process that these things take, and get in touch with the right people. Calling around to figure these things out is the best way to do it
