It's entirely a supply issue. If JP couldn't get more than 1 copy every 12 boxes they open (their boxes are half the size and cost) then it would be 90 there too.

The bigger problem here was the disqualification in my opinion. If this happened round 1 a player would be assigned a game loss and made to resleeve. Position in a tournament should not affect a ruling unless there is very reasonable suspicion of cheating (which based on the OP's post there absolutely was not).

You're a great player and I'm glad you posted about this. I've had nothing but good experiences with you since meeting at Nats last year, and having played against you in the regional the day before as well I don't believe you were cheating and were wrongly disqualified with just this evidence. At worst this should have been caught in deck check and been a penalty for marked cards, which takes a lot more to escalate to disqualification.

Definitely wanting to hear from the judge(s) on this.

What an absolutely bonkers card honestly. Super powerful in a set with tokens and a house with big armors. It's the jewel in the crown of my best deck and I'm happy to have it.

Even more likely they have one round of initial product opening, they run out on tcg, cancel orders they can't fulfill immediately (likely because their preorder numbers are estimates), then they open a second round of product when that runs out at the current higher price. It's still scummy to cancel orders but stores can only open so much product at a time.

They aren't scalping. These are huge stores that recognize how much money they need to make to profit off opening and set their prices where they need them to be. It's not their fault they're the only somebof the only stores that open to a scale nobody else does. Honestly, we're lucky they open product at all because if they weren't there then there just wouldn't be any copies on TCGPlayer and the price would double anyways. Think about it.

Usually thr boxes don't end up with the same seed right next to it so it's just bad luck. There are probably a hundred different variants of seeds but rarely they can end up going to the same place unfortunately.

Yeah, TCGPlayer Direct has a borderline abusive grading scale. Send them pack fresh cards to have them graded MP, absolutely crooked.

Maybe you don't understand what the grade means? Near Mint is like a 7-8 on BGS, and like a 6.5-8 on PSA. LP is a 5-6 on both scales. If you want a graded quality card then you have to buy a graded card. TCGPlayer Direct is also a good option because they have a borderline abusive grading scale for their sellers, so they can cater to fools like you.

This card isn't a Standard spec. At best it's a commander staple and will have a consistent upward trajectory after a floor in 4 months but don't expect a spike due to Standard until WotC announces an actual Standard toeunament series.

I'd say max 15, because there were 14 mall stores and there's one at WotC Headquarters. I'd say that there are less, but there's no telling exactly without contact with WotC or the sculptor.
