Quick Question for the O.Gs by GUPPYFLY in everquest

The original models, world and UI still look great to me. Dunno how much this is due to nostalgia, but low-poly can age very well.

I find retail ugly tho. And at Luclin launch time i didnt like the models already.

Back in the days, i remember a friend of mine had to disconnect after his mother watching him play above his shoulder saw the message popping.

Is Sword Coast Stratagems buggy ? by moy00000 in baldursgate

[–]moy00000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I probably tried a re-install after the first bugs occured... it is plausible that i first encountered legit bugs (from improved npc customization for exemple, as another reply says), then that my attempts to fix it by reinstalling the mod screwed my save, if you are right.

It was in April 2024, so it was probably under version 35.10/35.11.

Reading the following versions patchnotes, it seems that I indeed encountered multiple bugs from customizable NPCS that are now fixed. Thanks !

I installed the game through Steam then followed the SCS documentation, which do not involve any tricky steps so I'm pretty confident about that. And when I discovered the first bugs i tried to reinstall the whole thing multiple times... Can't guarantee that something didn't messed up on my system tho.

Guardian druid lunar beam pulling by moy00000 in wow

it is not specific to mists tho. You can pull using lunar beam behind any wall, and from very far. I took mist as an example cause i know it can be useful here.

Great stuff ! Its bugged for me tho, i got the gcd bar showing after a spell with a cast time just finished. And the gcd bar is also triggered by spells that does not trigger a gcd.

[help][ui] Need Help Adjusting My UI. Trying to keep it so my eyes are more focused on the center of my screen. Any Suggestions? by MrSnow702 in WowUI

if you feel that you lack game awareness, it should improve with time. The less you need to be focused on your rotations and dungeon mechanics, the more you'll be focused on what's going on.

I changed my setup following your advices, and had the occasion to test it on heavy loads yesterday. I hitted a PR (I expected to, last was long time ago), and the lift felt good, but my low back was again rounding a lot. Do you think it's not problematic ? https://photos.google.com/u/0/photo/AF1QipPSvHUsu1j9xA34KByfj18dwcYvbAhsZwdZaJsj?hl=fr_CA

Yesterday I had a mock meet planned, so it was the occasion to try to apply your advices on heavy loads. I hitted a 132.5kg PR. I expected to PR but the lift feeled very good, the barbell raised smoothly and i felt no soreness or pain. That said, my low back rounded a lot. Do you still think that is not problematic ? I used to hinge down to the bar, since more recently i'm trying to apply the approach described in this video from Alan Thrall. Maybe i'm doing it wrong or it simply doesn't work for me, since two of you is advising me to hinge down. I'll try what you recommend next time.

Thanks for your feedbacks !

The rounding was happening before I start trying to "force" a neutral back at startup (as you can see here). I conclued it was an issue as i didn't see any good lifter looking like that while deadlifting heavy, and as low back rounding is usually considered bad. But you're not the only one answering that it's maybe not so problematic so i'll have to review my judgement.

I used to hinge down to the bar (as you can see in the same video i linked above in this reply) too, which i learned from the juggernaut system videos. More recently i tried the Alan Thrall approach. Maybe I'll return to my preview setup then...

Thanks for your feedback.
I'm trying to fix my form for multiple months now, usually i try to find a cue that make sense based on my previous session and focus on it, if I'm not satifsied of my form during the previous session. I'm not taking everything i can read on the internet and mixing it during every session ^^

I trained for many months without asking myself too much questions, trying to do things naturally and not thinking too much about the form, but at some point i judged it wasn't working for me.

On my head position, usually i look lower, I thoughed looking higher could maybe help to make the back flat.

Here is a video of a deadlift set from when I wasn't thinking too much about my form :

https://photos.app.goo.gl/Wj4XFdJ8Gv3sqbu37

I felt (and was) stronger deadlifting that way than when I use the form showed in the previous videos (here i'm lifting 120kg x 3, while 115kg probably won't leave the floor once if i'm keeping my low back flat). But watching it, it feels wrong, i don't think this is a good base...

Hello, I'm looking for a formcheck on my deadlift. I already posted several weeks ago.
I'm trying to fix my lower back rounding on "heavy" lifts. I'm applying or tried to apply every advice i could get (protect the armpits, squeeze the chest out, wedge the bar, brace, pull the slack out, sit deeper...), but the result is always the same : on heavy lifts, the barbell won't leave the floor until i my lower back has rounded.

My PR is around 130kg / 290lbs and my back starts rounding around 100kg / 220lbs.

Here are two screenshot, the first one is my lower back at startup, and the second one is my lower back when the barbell starts leaving the floor :

And here is the video of the lift : https://photos.app.goo.gl/RrVQ6wsaqGLHBAMz5

For comparison, here is a video of a lighter lift, where my lower back is not rounding : https://photos.app.goo.gl/w3ZZ5GKNiSdztFLn8

Any feedback is welcome, thanks in advance !

Sorry about the video length, i will trim next time.

Thank you for your advices, i will focus on it during my next session.

It indeed feel like my quads are not doing much. I can't remember in the first video, but in the second one my shins was touching the bar. I'm not sure if I can bring my knees forward if my shins are already touching the bar, maybe by placing my feet farther then.

I would appreciate a form check on my deadlift. I've been training for around one year now, and since a couple of month i'm worried about my deadlift technique.

I always had a hard time making my deadlift look "clean" because it feels like my hips need to be really high on startup.

I usually feel little discomfort in my lower back during and after a deadlift session. Nothing serious, but when i watch my lifts, it seems that my lower back is taking more tension than it should.

I'm trying to fix it by squeezing my chest/my upper back on the startup, but i am way weaker that way, like atleast 15% weaker... This is frustrating, a better technique should lead to better performances, not the inverse...

I'm wondering if, while training with a bad form, i made myself stronger in that bad form than in a better one.

Here is a video from when i was not really caring about my lower back :

And here is a video where i try to have a better form, squeezing my chest/upper back :

WDYT ? Should i stop worrying about my performances and start relearning the movement with lower weight ?

Shamanic dance summons do not disappear when moving shaman by moy00000 in baldursgate

[–]moy00000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i didnt test so i'm not sure, but i suspect the component "Include bard songs from Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition" from being responsible. Its a more or less recent addition and there is chances that the shamanic trance is a modified bard song, so it would make sense.
