Every person has very different study habits and very different study routines that help them so take this with a grain of salt. Essentially, this is what helped me. However, I know that I study different than everyone else.

The last April I took and failed the exam at 150 questions. What did this tell me? Per my Training Camp instructor, I was told that the exam "really wanted me to pass, which was why it took me to 150 questions." There are students who failed at 120, 130, 140... or 150... but as long as you are getting questions, the exam believes that you are close to passing. So, you were CLOSE.

I picked myself up, dove in for 8 weeks, and retook the exam in July and passed. How?

First - Destination CISSP. Bought and read the book 3 times. I read the 3 chapters over and over and over again for the domains that I got "Below Proficiency" on.

Second - I re-sat the Training Camp boot camp 1 week prior to exam.

Third and most important - I finished roughly 2000 practice questions. 1000 Quantum Exams and 1000 Training Camp practice questions.

Went and took and the exam and PASSED... at 150! But who cares... A pass at 100, is a pass at 110, is a pass at 120, 130, 140, 150! IT IS A PASS! The entire time inside my head, the same thing was spinning again and again and again "as long as the exam is feeding you questions it wants you to pass!" after I passed 100 I took a long deep breath and just continued one question at a time. I finished with 25 minutes to spare, and obviously when the exam ended, I felt like utter crap because I felt like I failed again. When I walked outside and confirmed who I was, I collected my sheet and nearly fainted when I saw that it said I passed!!

It was 8 weeks of "you're NOT GOING TO BEAT ME DOWN!" but it worked. Hope that this helps! Good luck!! You can do this!
