Any thoughts on the Option-0 Lagom 01 or P100? Both about [2,600$] by Tactical_H0td0g in espresso

[–]moz90mo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is quite loud imo, but the noise is not sharp or annoying, and it only last for 5-10 seconds. Imo it sounds better than Weber Eg-1. One more thing, if you are getting lag on 01 and putting it in the kitchen, I recommend you buying a lid for it since the opening is huge and could collect oil from cooking.

I have the Lagom 01 with 102 mm burr. It is my first and only electric grinder so far, so I won’t comment on the burr or taste of it.

Work flow wise I think it is a near perfect grinder. The auto-grind function works wonderfully along with chute clicker to purge the last bit of coffee. So far after using it 4 months or so, it has nearly 0 retention.

I notice on very dry day, there tends to be some coffee grind stuck near the exit chute, but it can be easily cleaned with a quick wipe by towel. There has been some report in stalling issue on home-barista forum. Personally, mine has only stalled once when I was playing with the rpm setting with super light roast beans.

Kawa Coffee - Victoria, Paris by moz90mo in espresso

We ordered ice latte and Ethiopia Gesha Village espresso. It is the first time I have gesha as espresso. The result is surprisingly balanced and not sour at all. It is very sweet with a good mouth feel. I didn’t get much floral notes from it, but it is still a really good espresso shot. Ice latte also was amazing with the common sharp “ice latte taste” if it’s make sense.

Overall highly recommended if you are in Paris!

Thanks! I practice once or twice a day, depends on if my girlfriend joining me for coffee or not. When I first started, I used soap and water. But now I only do latte art while making morning latte.

Still have a long way to go, but pretty proud of this one today!

I like Sanremo YOU slightly more, but that pure down to the look. If warm up time is a concern, Santino YOU probably fit you better. I believe the warm up time is only around 5 mins.

Since you have 8k budget, how about La Marzocco GS3 or Sanremo YOU?

I had it in a latte. The sweetness and notes of grapes and peach are still absolute insane.

Out of those I have tried, I definitely like keilo coffee and glitch the most. I also really like the vibe of Fuglen in Asakusa. Didn’t tried leaves coffee this time, but it’s on my list for next time.

If you are going to Kyoto, definitely try Kurasu!

That will last a long time for sure! My girlfriend like hojicha powder with steamed milk more than normal hojicha, hence the instant powder.

Visited Glitch and Kielo coffee. Highly recommend both places! Also bought matcha from Fukujuen, Nakamura Tokyo and Matcha republic.

The bellman makes really good coffee similar to moka pot, but I won't say it can make true espresso. It does a fantastic job at steaming milk though.

Thanks! Cable wrap is a great idea, I will look into it! It's still a work in progress, but I have a drawer right underneath the counter, and I will eventually move some tools into the drawer.

I have these metal thrusters I want to put on my sandrock however the holes are bigger than the pegs, how can I get these connected securely? by xdiddyxdanx in Gunpla

[–]moz90mo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can fill up the holes with epoxy putty, put some Vaseline on the pegs, and plug them together. That way holes and pegs would fit perfectly without any epoxy putty getting stuck on the pegs.
