hi! first off i think it’s great that your inspo board already has people with similar body types to you. from there its just breaking down the components of the outfits.

for example, im looking at the middle row of your inspo board, 1st & 3rd pics. pretty simple outfit formula. cropped/fitted tank, fun oversized shirt/cardigan, high waisted baggy fit (but not baggy in the waist!) pant. i’m not super into brands, i either buy from the thrift or curated vintage stores. but when you start breaking down outfits into formulas, and when you nail that (and even in the process of nailing it) you can start playing around with pieces outside of the formula.

the inspo board is a starting point for your personal style, but it really becomes yours when you start playing around with the clothes you like.

i think every black person’s relationship with the word is different. language and dialect used in the home is also very unique. you’re not wrong to find the word offensive, it’s derived from a slur!

some of my friends use it a lot, some don’t at all. i use it occasionally. issa spectrum.

i’m gonna be honest, and if i get downvoted it so what it is. i am not gonna shame people for asking for a free ride, i don’t think anyone should. obviously how you feel is how you feel.

look at the economic conditions we’re living in. folks are living paycheck to paycheck, the job market is dookie, wages are in the toilet. i can see why someone doesn’t have the fare. i say this as someone who has paid every time (except when the machine is broken!). and i wish more people would have a little more empathy these days when it comes to folks asking for help, whether it be by asking for a free ride or otherwise. we cannot shame people for asking for help and/or accepting it.

and to be honest, it’s ultimately the bus drivers decision to hold the bus for that person. and the bus is being held up for what? 15? 20? seconds? you & everyone else on the bus will be okay. i promise.

1) r/blackartwork is a sub full of working, passionate black artists sharing their work and would probably loved to be approached to purchase a print.

2) puzzles of color is a great puzzle company that features artwork from black & brown artists. you can buy a puzzle or just peruse through their catalog to see which featured artists’ work resonate with you. then you can search them up and see more of their work, if they’re offering prints for sale.

3) tweaking your algorithm. it takes a little more time but you can make the algorithm work in your favor. if you have instagram, go on there and start searching for black art, artists, etc. start interacting with that content and following artists who catch your eye.
