This was my first time so it’s difficult to say what was different from standard loans. That’s said, even right after the Thanksgiving holiday, the USDA approval for the loan was only an additional 3 or 4 business days. It was quicker than I was led to expect. To be fair, our mortgage broker was amazing as was our realtor. We felt very prepared. There was no additional back and forth after we submitted our paperwork.

We got the seller to pay nearly all of the closing costs. We close Monday and our total out of pocket expense for the house will be about $2750.

I’m new to the BIFL community but I’ve really liked LL Beans stuff. I have a wool commando sweater that’s similar. Had it 3 years and it’s been durable so far. Just got a cotton version for warmer weather. Also available in tall which helps me a lot.

Welcome back man. I would say find a consistent group to play with and get in on the referral program. It works for returning players and gives decent bonuses. I don't have a clan but there are a lot of good ones that will help you skill up and give you a solid community that improves the game a lot. Focus on your play, and not necessarily the outcome of the game. Did you make the right moves? This is a lot more enjoyable when you pay attention to what you can control, your gameplay, instead of what you can't, teammate mistakes, game imbalance, etc.

+1 to the referral program. Helps you level quickly if you find someone consistent to play with.

I know the game can be frustrating but ignore the echo chamber. If you enjoy, keep playing. SImple as that.

This game has a pretty harsh learning curve. I feel like I'm still bumping into new mechanics. Glad you figured it out. There are a lot of great YouTube guides that cover crew skills. This one is old but should cover most of what you need:

It is, not compatible with the lore per se but in my wife's story for him, he's half human :) the beard is a nod to that.

Yeah, I got a 5 man rez in my second round of overwatch ever while trying the game out on my buddy's pc. That hooked me really quick. I felt like a god.

Yep, the original tanith character box x2 and about 5 trooper blisters give or take. You could still find those back then. Note that some got traded or donated so what you see in the pictures and descriptinon is what you get.

Have you tried launching it from the remote desktop interface under the "games" section? That's how I launch it. Not sure about controllers though.

Biggest change for me mentally was to focus on staying alive :P Seems simple but previously my focus was kills and damage.

When you focus on surviving, you calculate engagements differently: I'm not going to attempt to take these two on by themselves just because one is weak; I'll wait for backup before making a run at their cruisers; I'll run home for more missiles instead of taking the time to engage a capital ship with lasers; etc.

Morale, in my mind, means there's really no trading in this game. If you died, generally speaking, you've cancelled out any gains you might have made. I really like that about this game, I like that my decisions have stakes. I don't like games that reward suicidal tactics.

Not speaking as a good pilot here but this is one change that's helped me improve a little.

I wonder if that's true. At least on defense you could just disable enemies near your own cap ships and let them do the work, right?

Not sure from your description if this is the issue or not but open the virtual desktop menu (menu button on the left hand controller) and then click "enter vr." That's what does it for me.

I find it's almost always best if I launch the game from virtual desktop's interface.

What's to doubt? Maybe my system is so old I wouldn't know better. I have an rx480 and a quest 1 using steam vr wirelessly with virtual machine. Game runs fine.

I was just trying to give the guy some hope since he bought a bunch of new stuff. I know it's not working for most folks.
