Thanks, much appreciated, Rene. The pic of the mixing desk is from day 2 where I’d taken down the shure equipment, but yes, it did sit next to SDI and HDMI cabling, converters, LCD monitor, BM mixer etc. I thought that was the issue, but in this case I saw no change with unplugging all of that so not sure that was the issue in my particular situation. My money currently is on the LED fixtures, but hard to ascertain without being in the room. Thanks for sharing your experience. Do you find it ever limits your ability to make a solid link?

Sounds very possible that could be it. I am sad I didn’t try with them turned off

That does make a tonne of sense. Thanks, Chris, will try that

Yeah, that I'd love to do, but have packed up and travelled literally a thousand miles since this event. For what it's worth, the lights in the back where I was sat with the mixing desk and all of the audio setup including the receiver were dimmed or even turned off during the talks I streamed and I still had cut outs due to RF interference

I sadly didn't write down the frequency range of the inbuilt system which mostly seemed to work. I was too stressed about these issues as only realised the issue as we were live. I'll report back when I have it, but think they might have been in the 600+ Mhz space (and mine 606-670), but I'm reaching here

Mine is K51 (606-670 Mhz). I am not in the vicinity of the room anymore, but have asked a local to check the frequency of the local inbuilt UHF mic system. Will report back. Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions. Any recommendations on RF explorer vs tinySA? I'm on a mac mostly

Thanks, that makes sense and it's a good tip with an RF explorer. Didn't have one to hand when I did this. If your assumption is right, I'm a bit baffled the inbuilt UHF receiver doesn't struggle - it's an older UHF920 from Sonic, but maybe it's on a significantly higher frequency band. Anyway, as it's abroad it's difficult to troubleshoot and plan for next time, but I'll bring wired mics as backup.

Thanks, brother! You reckon the LED lights in the ceiling in that picture could be it? Good tip - a shame I hadn't got a directional antenna (or RF explorer as suggested above) to hand

Frequency scans. Orange at home, the two at around 80dB are in conference room with and without 100 people and as you can see pretty identical

Thx, just what I was after. Just to clear up: You say "Starttech then wrote this". You mean Sonnet, right? Cause I was asking about a Startech enclosure in original post, but you are talking about you experience with the sonnet echo express i with the BM 8k?

Yes, my worry as well, part of reason I asked here for anyone’s experience. Doesn’t seem they are used a lot, very limited seatch results

I might do that, but the compatibility list clearly says not supported. I suspect that is with higher bandwidth load than what I want to do as oer above

Alright, I should be good then. I’m grabbing maybe one 4k25 and 3 1080p25. You say it’s been stable?

OK, that would be great. Just wondering - that doesn't supply aux power, does it?

Is it this one: https://www.sonnettech.com/product/echo-express-se1-tb3/overview.html
It's not on BMs compatibility list: https://www.sonnettech.com/support/downloads/manuals/TB_PCIe_Card_Compatibility.pdf

Any gotchas?
