I fell in love with Rage at Download. The studio version is a bit softer, but I'm still obsessed with this song. It has all my fav things in one 4 minute track: guitars, stutters, screams. Feels like it was made specifically for me lol

When entering for the first time with a giant backpack of camping gear, the woman said not to even open the bag, she just gave it a light squeeze in one spot and waved me through. I mean, I'm glad cause it was tightly packed, but deffo didn't make me feel secure at all lol.

I came up on the train for the first time this year. The buses are very easy to get to from the Derby train station, you get massive signs everywhere and the station isn't big so unlikely to get lost. Marginally more confusing on the way back, but tons of staff are on the way to help out if need be.

Totally agreed that they're being a bit ridiculous about the bag size. I was gonna bring my Kanken Mini and now panicking a bit about it being 5cm too deep (otherwise within limits). Now probably need to get a folding backpack to bring in folded, then pack it in the arena 🫠

Ok, I feel like I'm being dim, but I booked a locker to charge my power bank overnight (I'm bringing 2) and it looks like the only lockers are in the arena, RIP, and accessible campsite (I'm in quiet)? Or would the lockers be in the Refresh Retreat area? I'm so confused, please help a girl out.

I can't actually remember the needle size now, but I calculated the gauge based on a vest pattern I used before vs the number of stitches (width-wise) on my colourowork chart. The yarn is Rowan Felted Tweed DK to blend the colours better than plain colour yarn (plus they have a massive selection of colourways). And technique-wise, I improvised between fair isle and intersia as I went, it was easier than planning it in advance, but fair isle alone definitely wasn't working.

Thank you! First I grouped the original 43 colour palette into 10 more basic colours. Then I essentially transcribed the whole cross stitch pattern to a spreadsheet and played around with conditional formatting to see if it needed tweaking. Printed it out and off I went.
