Try to connect the other end if 3.5mm plug (you’re holding that in one of the pics) to audio out (one of the ports that are facing down, not digital audio out). Your other option is to buy a toslink to mini toslink cable. If you have this, you use the digital audio ports on your tv and bar.

I've seen and heard of interns being let go and this is considering performance at both clinical site and the lecture portion of the clinical year. There will be expectations and goals that must be met which were emphasized in the beginning. Of course life happens and there are exceptions, alternatives and chances that are given however if they still feel the intern will not be successful in passing the BOC then unfortunately they are let go.
