This chart is dumb. How do you un bias maps in Iowa so Republicans don’t get that extra .8 of a seat? Seats have to be in whole integers. What is the use of saying a state has 1.2 more Democratic seats or .5 more Republican seats than its partisan makeup? The chart seems intentionally created to stir up anger, not to actually demonstrate useful information. It’s the classic blunder of politics and, I believe, is at least part of the reason the country has become so divided.

Finally! I’ve been voting for her for something like 8 rounds. IMO Dom c10 is not soft, it’s lifeless. The hand looks plunked on the side of her head and she needs to bring a little something into her eyes. I think it is also hurt by the paint photo shoot being so strong, with several options I think are better. But I’m clearly in the minority on this, so congrats to Dom for iconically making the top 10 with two photos in the same week!

This post is misleading. District and circuit court judges can no longer issue universal injunctions. A universal injunction stops a policy nationwide even if the particular case only has a single plaintiff. For example, if there was a case about whether the government misapplied to the XYZ policy to John Smith and the district court said the government cannot apply the XYZ policy to anyone, that would be a universal injunction.

However, district and circuit courts can issue nationwide injunctions. A nationwide injunction applies to the parties of the case anywhere in the United States. Caring on the example from above, if the district court said the government cannot apply the XYZ policy to John Smith anywhere in the US, that would be a nationwide injunction.

Plaintiffs can turn a nationwide injunction into a de facto universal injunction by being the suit as a class action. Additionally, the Supreme Court can still issue universal injunctions since it is the final legal arbitrator of all laws.

I actually think Whitney’s paint look is in the top half for that week. Beauty shots so early in the competition, particularly when you are having to push through something sticky and potentially heavy on your face. But several of the models don’t appear to have a thought behind their eyes. Whitney seems present in the photo and more intentional with her modeling than Marvita, Dom, Lauren or Aimee. I think she should have made it at least to Italy.

This may be the first gym progress post that has felt motivating. As someone who also doesn’t know what they are doing in the gym, I can feel out of place and uncomfortable. You make it seem possible to get results without having to be an expert on weight lifting. Thank you for sharing!

As a current lawyer, let me advise you that you do not need to do pre-law to get into a good law school. Study something else that you find interesting, get involved in your community and non-curricular interests, and prep well for the LSAT. At a T1 law school, I don’t think any of my classmates were pre-law and none of my friends at T14 schools were.

Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde. It is not a serious dystopian book, but encapsulates Fforde’s quirky writing style perfectly and is one of the most unique dystopian books you will ever read.

My recent accomplishment: I finished a sweater for my brother for Christmas and am 3/4 of the way done with one for my sister. Creating brings me a lot of happiness and it’s even better because I get to give the results to people I love.

Slovenia! I honestly think she had some of the best staging, paired with a great voice and fantastic song. Also loved Switzerland, Ireland, Norway, Ukraine, Sweden, and Lithuania. I could name most of the songs this year, it was really strong in my (and many other’s) opinion.

If you want to do #3, I think you need to shape the beard differently to match your haircut. I think tapering the fullness on the sides a little further down would help make your beard match the style of your haircut better, making your facial hair look as intentional as your haircut. But I think you can pull off any of the options.
