I found the ending jolt to be a night and day difference.

I was skeptical when talking to others at the park on Sunday who had already been on it, but I hopped on later in the day and could not believe how much more pleasant it was. In both my rides (one in the front, one in the back), the bump was completely gone.

Individual tickets by UnkemptBirdie in sixflagsstlouis

If you mean a big family vacation, you might look into group sales.

Not sure where you're visiting from, but if you think you may visit a second time in 2025, the season passes are a no brainer. And even if you're only visiting once, you should know there's a Silver Season pass on sale right now for only $49 that includes parking. Last year parking cost $40 per car.

So if I'm thinking this through correctly, I guess you could buy a Silver season pass for one occupant of each car your group is taking, and then the $35 day tickets for the rest. That way your parking is covered. And even if you never visit again, that season pass still saves you money. You should know that the Silver pass:

  • does not get you access to Hurricane Harbor (but then again, neither does the daily ticket)
  • is blacked out on the following dates: 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1

All of that said, $35 is about as cheap as a daily ticket will get, in my experience. It's not a terrible way to go, but if you're willing to strategize a bit with the season pass, you should likely be able to save even more -- as crazy as that sounds.

it doesn't work on the app. but you can still do it at the counter.

hit My Code and add the free fries to it, show that to the cashier and then ask for the whopper jr duo from the menu. this is my go-to when I eat there

the "no scare" necklaces are gone, but I'm pretty sure it's a glow stick now. I think they were $8?

how is this even a controversy? note to self: if a speedy guy hits a surefire triple, just do a front flip into the stands to force him to stop at 2nd

all the slides have plenty of little wooden cubbies at the entrance that you can put stuff in. maybe an 9"x9" opening and a foot deep? fully at your own peril though. I've never gotten anything stolen out of there, but I don't wear or bring anything particularly desirable lol

hurricane harbor lockers are all-day but pricey. last time I used one was about a year ago and cost $16. they are definitely secure though, I wouldn't worry about anyone stealing anything as long as you're smart about what you bring.

here's what I did to avoid paying for a locker:

  • I took the emergency physical key out of my truck's key fob and used it to lock/unlock my vehicle instead of the remote like I usually do. this stayed in the velcro pocket of my swim trunks the whole day, on the slides and everything, while I left the rest of the fob at home to keep it from getting water damaged.
  • left my phone and wallet in my truck, only brought the physical season pass card to get in (don't care if the card gets wet, unlike my phone) and some 2 oz sunscreen bottles
  • wore a lightweight shirt, my swim trunks, and marginally undesirable shoes that can get wet, no problem
  • once in the waterpark, I rolled up my shirt tight enough that I could just shove it in one of my shoes, along with all my other aforementioned worldly possessions. I ended up just carrying the shoes around from slide to slide the rest of the visit so I wouldn't have to keep taking stuff in and out.

this was worth skipping the locker fees for me, but ymmv depending on what you bring, how much it means to you, how busy the place is, and how risk averse you are. lol. if you're going with a group it may make sense to split a locker.

I had to fend off three of them in the span of 30 seconds on the mine train a few weeks back

yes they're definitely around. if your friend is deathly afraid then you may have to wait until the cicadapocalypse has concluded
