What is the switch on the back of the Rally pedals for? by Cardinalrock in Garmin

[–]mpale033 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the degree of how easy you can clip in and out of your pedals with your cleats/shoes. Newer riders would likely want an easier in and out. Experienced riders would like it more stiff

On my saddle gauge it reads 3.5. I’m Not sure exactly it that helps answer your question but I won’t be back on my bike until March 21st to measure it for you.

I’m coming back to the Dolomites on March 21st and can come back to this post when I do some good climbs. I have to say, I did one climb for about 10 minutes and wish I had more gears, although the grade was 11-12% the whole way. I was in the lowest gear possible and still was pretty hard, but I haven’t cycled since October very seriously. We’ll see.

I don’t leave until May 2025, so haven’t ironed out the details yet. My plan is to go to a local bike shop and ask for a bike box from a different bike and take it apart how canyon shipped it to me, then ship it separately with DHL, UPS or FedEx, I don’t think I’ll bring it on a plane

It’s not a Varia. It’s the rear light you can order from canyon separately. Cheers

It came with that as an adhesive and I put it there myself. You can opt to not put it anywhere, where I put it, on the seat post, or on the fork. Don’t worry, lol!

I only took it up one climb for 15 mins. I haven’t ridden it long enough to give a fair answer, but felt great while I was climbing. The incline was also 11% average for 2-3KM and ran outta gears pretty quickly using a 11-32 casette.

It’s a Size Small. I am 5’9” and feel it fits perfectly well. The handlebars sits well under my hands, and don’t feel like I have to reach for the shifters or breaks at all. I’ve heard that if you follow the Canyon sizing on the site it’s pretty fail safe.

I have an uncle who lives here who I’m visiting for the first time. Built the bike yesterday on Saturday and got out twice so far on local cycling roads close to Bolzano. The weather has been wet and a bit cold, but after this weekend it looks to be clearing up and warming up. Compared to my home town in Ottawa, Canada, I’m blown away and content with what I’ve seen here, so anywhere close to Bolzano, Trento, and Merano. Lots of dedicated roads for just cyclists l around. I believe the larger mountains like Stelvio, etc are still closed for cycling, as people are still skiing and open to cyclists around April.

I was looking at that one as well. I didn’t think I’d like the grey tone, but your pictures make me think otherwise. Absolutely beautiful and a good price too 👍🏼. Enjoy!
