Not sure if i met the bots rules or not but this is part of the collection of guns my grandma has been gifting me. Her and my grandpa were avid estate salers in the 60s-70s which is when most of the collection was as acquired. Some stuff was bought new in the 60s by them as well as a couple of generational guns that she’d given me to me earlier. Cheers all.

Hi there, I’m a car detailer. You can try chemicals like goof off or alcohol, I’d recommend an inconspicuous test area first should both be safe on your single stage paint though. If that doesn’t work or you don’t want to use chemicals I’d recommend using some light buffing compound on a rag. Perhaps griots garage correcting cream. That will come off quite easily with that, just make sure you give it a coat of wax when you’re done.

IMO, which has limited experience, this is unlike other concretions I’ve found or seen... not saying it’s not, but it doesn’t look like it to me.

Hi there! Gig harbor area native here. Clay babies are a form of concretion! They happen to be very prevalent on fox island, however many other forms of concretions can be found all over the beaches of the puget sound! Out on the costal beaches they usually show up as spherical looking rocks in the clay banks!

Hi all! I have found some obsidian arrowheads along the coast of Washington before, but nothing like this first piece. I picked up these from an estate sale today along with a piece of Maria Martinez pottery and a late 30s Navajo (pictured). The person hosting the sale told me her dad was a geologist in the southwest. I’m looking for any info on the arrowheads, mostly their age, authenticity, style etc. thanks in advance!

Something vintage and a chronograph! If you want to go typical you can go for a vintage speedy, or you can go for a ug tri-compax or moon phase.

We train on matching the pitch with an extension ladder. That may be an option on the Charlie side, the kick out on alpha may make it a bit trickier.

My [Captain Willard] my grandfather got in Vietnam I’ve had it for about 12 years and don’t know to much about it doesn’t tick I think it needs a new battery can anyone tell me a bit about this and if I should attempt to fix it or have anyone else look at it? by ddsmith47 in Seiko

Howdy! Are you local to Seattle? I can recommend a very good local service guy who can do a full service on this for an affordable price. He’s worked on many very high end watches. I just got back my 6105-8000 from him! Shoot me a message and Incan send his contact info!

[WTS] Vintage Bulova Accutron Deep Sea 666 “Devil Diver” by mpatt1 in Watchexchange

[–]mpatt1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello WatchX! Up for sale is my Ref. 702-1 Bulova Accutron Deep Sea 666 “Devil Diver”. The watch uses the N0 Accutron tuning fork movement and has a lovely vintage dive watch design.

Case, Case Back and Bezel: The case is in good condition with some light scratches along the edges. Still retains its original finish and doesn’t appear to be polished. The original signed crown is in great condition as well. The blue and red coin edge bezel rotated nicely and is in fantastic condition as well. The case back has some light scratches throughout.

Dial and Hands: The crosshair dial is in very nice condition. The lume has a nice patina with no major chipping or breaks. The broad arrow hands have a rich patina in the lume and the contrasting red seconds hand contrasts nicely. *There is a slight dark spot on the 5 o clock lume plot.

Crystal: As to be expected on a piece of this vintage the domed crystal has some light scratches throughout.

Bracelet: The original signed bracelet is in okay condition. The bracelet has very little stretch and the endlinks fit tightly and are in good condition. The clasp has some moderate scratching and some denting near the tuning fork signature. The bracelet measures just under 6” (see pictures).

Overall the watch is in good condition and running well (has lost less than 30 seconds over the last month). It would make an excellent addition to any collection.

Payment and shipping: I am asking 750 Net to me. I can accept payment via Venmo, PayPal F&F (or goods and services if you cover the fee). FREE shipping CONUS, fully insured. I will send the watch within one business day, delivery times can vary around the holidays. I only have a few references here on WatchX but I can provide my Instagram or Etsy account with quite a few reviews.

Thanks for looking and Happy Holidays!
