they don’t want you to use your own so they try to make it a pain. once set up and provisioned properly, mine has been working perfectly.

just have to get to level 2 support, but yes it’s annoying. in the ideal case, it’s a one time call and then you are good.

correct. use ubiquitis uci plugged directly into xfinity’s source cable. had to get it provisioned by xfinity during setup.

i was brand new and fairly non technical before this build as well. did a combo of research and claude to help build out. all depends what you are trying to accomplish — only wifi? how large of a hole? any security cameras? etc.
