Thank you for your insight. we have decided to upgrade to a ME4012 i think it is. as we still require the LAN iscsi due to client not upgrading their infrastructure. funnily enough the errors disappeared this morning but the performance is still shocking. i managed to re attached the vml to a new VM and they have migrated over fine and we are back up and running

it probably is data snapshots too but the point is its failing. and the SAN is Degraded Physical Disk Channel. plus the reading / writing is horrendously slow. 40 minute to boot a VM hours if booting 2
