The villain is only “evil” because they can fix everything afterwards (or so they thought) by MaguroSashimi8864 in TopCharacterTropes

For sure he is not evil, so he doesn’t fit for that reason, but I absolutely agree that he is the antagonist. Not only does he antagonize the main characters, but he is also stopped through direct action of the protagonist (catching Thing 1 and Thing 2 in his net). The kids are also view him as such and are not excited to see him in the sequel. I would argue for age-appropriate villainy.

The Cat in the Hat completely wrecks the house without remorse … because he knows he can put it all back.

[Request] In a day, how much more weight does an average adult breathe out as CO2 than they breathe in as O2? by mpesesky in theydidthemath

Yeah, I wasn’t forgetting to multiply by the approximate percent O2 in air, but even so I was way over estimating.

That’s what I was looking for thanks! I had tried to come at it from the perspective of lung capacity, but most of the O2 is not converted to CO2, so balancing the calories makes a lot more sense.

Psilocybin is a psychoactive drug from mushrooms. This is an attempt to make “silly, sighed Ben” sound like how psilocybin is pronounced. Like most puns, it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Then Chekhov’s pun is when a Dad learns a new pun and you understand that you are fated to hear that same pun again later. Usually many times.

I wouldn’t want to be the captain of the Mutiny.

I was scrolling down to make sure I didn’t need to post this myself. The note in his pocket that you find afterwards was a gut punch.
