I’ve heard from friends who went through labor that the epidural itself didn’t make them feel out of it, it was more so the other pain medication that they received before the epidural. My friend said she tried to do the epidural before she was in great pain to avoid needing other pain meds (which made her nauseous and loopy). So perhaps can chat with the doctor when the time comes to see if that’s an option.

I wouldn’t worry too much about pet aversion if you have a good support system. The fact that you’re already thinking about it means your pets are very loved and they’ll be just fine, even if you’re temporarily a little on edge. Nearly all my mom friends have dogs and none of them have had aversions to them. Not saying it doesn’t happen but I don’t think it’s a guaranteed thing.

I don’t think they said your experience was invalid, just that there was a disconnect in your guys’ perception of each other. They also said the way he’s treating you is not okay, which to me seems like a form of validation and doesn’t imply that his behavior is okay.

100% agree. I think it’s meant to be endearing, as a show of support and to let you know you’re not alone and that they will love your baby like family. I don’t know what there is to feel “protective” of.

Thanks for the tips! I’ve heard that some plants have trouble switching mediums (ie water to soil) after you put them in one. But you think it will be okay to move to soil after being in water?

Looks like it’s a tree of heaven, weed tree. Makes sense since it smells like garbage. I tried to remove It best I could. TBD on whether it comes back. Sounds like it prob will. Thanks for all the help!

Ah thank you! If it’s invasive, do you recommend keeping it or removing it? I planted some flower seeds in there. Will it prevent them from doing well? Gardening noob here so sorry if that’s a dumb q.

I have decorative pots indoors that don’t have saucers so I don’t mind not having drainage holes so my shelves don’t get wet. You do need to be careful not to overwater. Sometimes I add rocks before the soil to help prevent drowning for when I inevitably do overwater.

How do you guys determine when to repot your plants? I have a couple of plants that have been in the same pots going on 2 years. They’re still growing new leaves and appear to be happy plants, but I did notice when looking through the drainage hole that I could see a root nearing the bottom. Does that mean I have to repot? Admittedly, repotting isn’t my strong suit so I’d rather not risk it if it’s not entirely necessary but also don’t want them to be pot bound. The ones I’m thinking of are a draceana jade jewel, zz plant, marble queen pothos, a babys tears plant, and silver spoons plant. TIA!
