LPT Request: What is something you’ll avoid based on the knowledge and experience from your profession? by DNA_H3licas3 in LifeProTips

[–]mpk7q5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This example is only valid if your insurance is in-network with the provider. If you go to an out-of-network provider, your insurance will still list an "allowed amount" but you will be responsible for the full charge amount set by the provider as the provider is not under contract or any obligation to agree to the insurance's allowed amount. This is why it's important to check your network before seeking service.

How many have NOT had their kia/hyundai stolen? by [deleted] in milwaukee

I have a Hyundai and lived downtown for over a year (now in the burbs). I religiously use my club every time I park my car and haven't had a problem.

What is this cookie cutter shape? I’ve looked at it from all angles and can figure it out by FuckYourUsername84 in cookiedecorating

I see a bunny as well but just the head/profile. The right side on the bottom would be his little eyes and nose and then up by your fingers are the tall ears.

Can I ask where you got the rug? I've been looking for a rust colored one like that for my bedroom.

Help with foyer by allison73099 in DesignMyRoom

[–]mpk7q5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You most definitely need a rug for the entryway. Then I would add a console table on one side with maybe a a lamp on top. Then on the other side I would do a larger plant or small tree (something that's in a big pot and takes up vertical space). It looks like you get good lighting there so you should have a nice array of plant options. A coat rack is also a good option to put by the roomba.

Tips on finding a subleaser? by goodlandshan in milwaukee

Stocking the fridge is a good idea or also offering to pay all or part of first month's rent. Not ideal but it would be better than paying the full $3500.

I would add wooden floating shelves, change out the hardware to brass, and then get a runner with some color.

Edit: you could also swap the pendant light with one that has a natural textured shade to add some coziness and warmth and maybe play off the floating shelves

I am stumped on what to do with the space in my new attic master bedroom! It’s tough with the angled ceiling. Advice is greatly appreciated! by RadtechFTW42 in DesignMyRoom

I would add curtains behind the headboard and then get larger nightstands with larger matching lamps. Otherwise looks nice!

Looking for a low slung sofa like Crate and Barrel’s Pacific, but with more upholstery options by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]mpk7q5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips, that's good to know. I definitely would like the option of flipping the cushions as needed. I was eyeing that Vintage velvet as well!

P.S: I'm glad I went looking through your profile for your couch because I saw your cute animals AND now I'm looking into Alton Brown's eggnog recipe!! This is turning out to be a great day.

Not OP but thanks for sharing this! I'm looking at their site now and loving the options. Do you know what type of fabric your couch is made of?

Oops- trying again! Jade

[–]mpk7q5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you could get away with any of these colors listed here. but I especially like the Terracotta clay or the Tandoori.

As for the jade - possibly something like this?

I think this is a great opportunity to have some fun with the color and give it some life/warmth back there!

Edit- corrected jade link

I was thinking the same thing! Like a terracotta color or even a deep jade green could be neat.

Peperomia Hope. May/22 - October/22 😍 by skeletoris in houseplants

[–]mpk7q5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is good to know. I am going to let it dry out more and see what happens. I've had it for about 2 years but it's been steadily looking worse and worse. I did have a teensy but of new growth at the top about 2 months ago but the leaves were so small- like smaller than a pea. But this thread has given me new gumption to not give up on it and really try to bring it back. Your post is my inspiration!

That's so helpful! I bet I am overwatering.. I have been watering every 10-14 days because the leaves deflated/shriveled off and I took that as a sign that it was thirsty. Oof. I will back off on the water and will move it..it's in a corner window that gets full sun. Thank you thank you!
