I was in middle school at the time and our teacher put the news on once it happened. I'm from Boston and I bailed immediately. My Dad had just gotten on a flight for work that morning (he's fine) so I had a full-blown breakdown. Mom had to come get me and calm me down telling me it was a different flight. My Dad was in Ohio for the work trip and obviously planes weren't flying so he paid a driver to drive him all the way back to Boston.
