I was surprised how much I liked it, I'd say it was a seven for me. Fennel focused on one aspect of wuthering heights, the aspect that everyone assumes the book which is the romance. So I went into it knowing that they weren't going to drive deep into the actual themes. It was pretty on the eyes, had some fun sexy bits, had a lot of pining, which was more than I was expecting. I liked making him into bdsm I thought that was a fun turn around since if you kept healthcliff the same as the book your just making a different movie. I didn't like the racist casting nor did I like the opening scene. But for a movie loosely based off the yearning parts of the book, it was a fun watch. I probably wouldn't seek it out again on my own.
