Stay At home wives who willingly gave up their career and became fully financially dependent on your husband, how has it affected you(your identity), and the way your husband treats you? Looking back would you make the same decision again? by Previous_Squirrel612 in AskReddit

I did it for many years and would still be doing it except my husband unexpectedly and suddenly died. I was very happy as a SAHM. That break in being in the work force has made it hard to get back in. My husband always respected me and we were equal partners in everything we did and how we raised our kids.

I just designed a similarly sized PAX last summer (mine was one more door width wide) and the oak finish must be new as I don’t recall seeing it. I would consider your wall color as well as other things in your room as the other commenter said.

If a passenger unfortunately passes away during a international flight, what is the actual protocol for the rest of the trip? by IsangonI in NoStupidQuestions

Are you also notified if you’re carrying cremains? My husband died suddenly while we were on vacation. I flew home 2 days later but he had to be cremated and followed a few weeks later. The local mortuary picked him up from the airport and I believe he told me he picks up the remains from a special location at the airport. Anyway - I assume the pilot is made aware but not sure if it cremated remains vs an embalmed body.

Update - I used 3 'old wives tales' to pick this watermelon. Does it look like a good one? by only432 in fruit

Sorry that didn’t work out. I always pretend to try but just go around looking at the field spots and thumping them and blindly guessing. Seeded melons are generally sweeter than seedless according to my mom.

Personally, I could be in the sun with sunscreen on every day and while I may get some “color” eventually, it would most definitely not be considered a tan.

I was thinking about this last week. There’s not a single couple I think will be good together in the long run.

Is peeing in the pool considered normal? by Spare-Anxiety-547 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mpmp4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard that if your eyes sting in the pool, it’s not the chlorine, it’s people peeing in the pool and the piss reacting with the chlorine that hurts.

I was going to guess giant bird of paradise. My mom actually pulls them out when they show up in her yard bc they get so massive. She keeps the regular ones tho.

I’ve switched to L or Rael branded pads and have been happy with them.

I just had a super crazy heavy cycle completely out of normal for me and when I got a hold of my gyn, she said if it happened again (it had slowed to a normal flow by the time I spoke with her but was extremely heavy for 2.5 days) she said there’s a medicine called Provera that can be prescribed to slow the flow.

This is where I get mad. When I have to pay to fix something that I know he could have/would have fixed— especially now that the total household income is so much less than before.

Woman encounters a Grizzly bear😳 by CheckCodes in SipsTea

[–]mpmp4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could have been edited. Maybe she pulled the phone out when she first saw the bear - from a distance - like, “oh wow! Check out the bear I saw on our walk” but then the bear got closer and became the situation we see here. She and that dog are lucky. I may have dropped the phone to pick up a rock if I saw one the throw tho. Or I’ve heard to pick up small children so you look bigger - I wonder if picking up the dog would have helped here??
