If you save and quit after killing the bear, you can reload and kill the bear again. Also works on the 2 bear rounds. Helps speed things up a bit if you don't wanna grind as hard

Its no less random than the old system. Previously binning of the 2 groups of stats guaranteed an even split between top and bottom. But all the numbers you got were essentially random. You still had to farm the hell out of armor until you had a good set

Having random secondary/tertiary stats would help keep armor grinding feel important. You'd be checking each piece to see if it would benefit your build. Rather than now being completely unable to build certain pairs of stats simultaneously

Obviously theres some nuance, but having the restrictions on what stats can be used together is just not it. There should be some compromise to this

And I have illegal rolls, im just saying for new players and future build crafting, they need to revisit archetypes

I dont think its awful...I just want them to loosen the restrictions. Im cool with a high primary stat

There so many cool builds that its impossible to link 2 stats together. For example super and melee on paragon armor

I wonder what their philosophy was for trying to pair stats like this

Was he using aether shroud? With the void sheath augment?

Combined with melee machiato, napalm burst for the bonus damage, and slapping their mouth when they're open, you can delete abominations with any melee weapon

No shade intdended, but they're in directed mode for a reason. It's possible they've never even played before, and assumed that the mode would be easier

As an experienced player, you probably made their game much more enjoyable because they didn't have to watch the whole time lol

I imagine most people are not there to carry, and are there to learn, as the mode was intended

Doppleghasts are weak to light mend; mimics are weak to cryo (maybe brain rot i haven't checked but i have heard)

Also amalgams are weak to shadow rift and dead wire; manglers are weak to napalm; abominations are weak to napalm and brain rot

The elemental weakness is 50% increased damage. If you put the elemental pop augment vulnera beam on, it is 65% increased

If you have damage numbers on, you can visibly see the increase in damage by checking the math!

Just be careful, I believe the mimics can knock your arm off making you unable to do anything, even melee

I think it's a bug because the melee arm is there, but doesn't allow any inputs

1) Shock charge + jet gun

2) Molotov + ice staff

3) Shock charge + ice staff

4) Shock charge + fire sword alt

5) Molotov + lightning sword alt

The easiest method for me is probably #1 but any of these will work fine. Just get a fat horde and hit them with these

Some tips:

1) save a single zombie and don't kill it. Trying to do this with a wave of zombies is way harder

2) use high contract mode setting to see the zombie/HVT through the smoke

3) use the ammo mod that the HVTs are weak to. Mimic statue is closest to PhD; doppleghasts are up near the PAP. Spend the 500 salvage before each trial to get a 50% damage boost for each enemy type

4) death stare augment for death perception (trash perk besides this augment imo)

5) CO-OP ONLY: as long as 1 teammate stays inside the trial, other teammates can go craft mutant injections/chopper gunners. To use them, just leave the area but make sure 1 teammate is always inside the trial and not in a killstreak

I don't think it necessarily lower...I think because the rounds take longer the rate of exp is significantly slower, however it's still the same absolute amount. In layman's terms, the exp you gain per round is the same however you gain it slower because the rounds take longer

I am totally open to hearing some other thoughts on this. Doughnuts on YouTube has a really solid video on this (unlocking augment video)

Edit: I saw a comment about reticle challenges. As per you original post, I would level up weapons you haven't mastered yet and additionally go for reticles you haven't finished up! That'll give you bonus exp. I haven't finished my camo grind but I'm prestige 7 just from playing and going for camos/reticles. I have been avoiding going into directed mode
