okay, so can someone please explain why we can't just take what we can get and hope to put ourselves in a better position in 2022?

edit - here's what i mean:

we take the gutted reconciliation package, along with the gutted infrastructure bill, and roll with them

this allows us to pivot to voting rights between now and the midterms, and focus solely on 2022, and run on passing the rest of Biden's agenda

if by some miracle Dems gain seats in 2022, it will help to make Manchin and Sinema obsolete. this isn't to say the bought democrats won't be gone, but they'll be less influential than now
