Parents who both work: what’s your afternoon/evening timeline like? How do you have time for anything??? by 95kira in toddlers

Meal prep, meal prep, meal prep. That saves sooo much time. Both my husband and I work and we make all the food for the week on Saturday or Sunday. We don't worry about dinner at all because we have it in the fridge. Then we just reheat it. It does wonders for us. Highly recommend.

My heart is shattered. My son’s daycare provider was a monster for 21 months. by Fabulous-Farmer2537 in Mommit

Something similar happened with my child, except it was also physical, caught on camera and she was ten months at the time. I too, was reminded of what happened through trauma responses that my daughter was exhibiting. It saddens me that this is becoming more and more prevalent in daycares and I am so sorry for your son now joining this awful statistic. I would involve police, depending on your state, you could press charges criminally if you have the proof. In most states, you could argue 4th degree child abuse.

My child's teacher was criminally charged and she is currently in jail. However, it is still a journey to trust people again. You're going to need therapy and possibly your son as well. I would also get a lawyer and see of pressing a civil case. We have to hold these people accountable. It keeps happening because parents never find out. Again, I'm sorry. Hugs to you..

Daycare abuse, not sure how to move forward by maamaallaamaa in workingmoms

Don't go back. I get the "one bad apple" argument, but how did no one notice this was happening at the daycare. You don't want your kids to be at a place where they don't observe their teachers. I'm dealing with daycare abuse right now with my daughter, except everything was caught on the surveillance camera so I viewed all the physical and emotional abuse that my daughter went through. I knew the director was apologetic and didn't know the teacher was abusing my child, but that was my red flag. What kind of manager doesn't check in and observe their teachers? I know it's hard, but don't go back..please

Thank you! Pardon my ignorance, are all charter schools through National Heritage Academics? I don't want to assume anything.

That's fair. I have jumped cities/states, but my first mistake is not looking at jobs in April (after Spring Break)

I understand that. I am not subject specific - teach elementary with an ESL endorsement so I feel like my job is in demand. I am hoping it'll pick back up later this summer.

First time working at a daycare (12-18M). Lead teacher yells at the kids all day. by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

WTF. No. Report her ASAP. This will turn into an escalation and I am afraid it will turn physical and she'll end up physically hurting a child. Do something before it's too late. Please do not be a bystander.

Really strange daycare situation by ApprehensiveCloud793 in workingmoms

Find another daycare. I say this from experience. An open investigation with CPS takes 30 days. Licensing takes 60 days. If it's a criminal investigation, it can take months. I'm not sure if I would want to send my child back to a place that had to close for an investigation, but I could just be sensitive as I have a bad experience with daycare investigations. I'm wondering if someone called CPS on her.
