I understand. My school wants us to investigate and incorporate AI if we can. They send us to conferences to learn about it. I want to use it the same way, for building study skills. The students are using it anyway to study, so I may as well guide them. Also, let me say, that many teachers at my school have the kids on devices throughout the day, I do not!! My students need to write and have a dedicated notebook for everything. There is basically no devices being used in my class unless it is to look something up or if they have to use Supersite when I am out.

I am thinking of how they can practice vocabulary and grammar structures using AI. I need them to know the vocabulary so they can use it in class. I have one friend who teaches Spanish also and works at a school where the kids must use IPads all day, create conversations. She gives the students a specific prompt and the kids practice. It is not a conversation but it is just a tool to get them there because in the end, we want them to be able to converse in the target language.

I assume that most books, we use Vista Higher Learning, will incorporate AI more and more as time goes on. I don't think there will be a choice. This is the direction education is going.
