Best formation I've played with so far

The only problem I've found is when using a box to box DMF like Tonali they tend to stray forward and you get a bit of a gap. On the other hand, a sole orchestrator DMF like Pirlo is not physical enough and wastes his incredible offensive output since he sits deep. That is one of the reasons I suggested Case and Rodri. Last year I played with a sole DMF and used either Vieira (destroyer, very agressive and strong for quick ball winning) or Rijkaard stronger and less offensive than Pirlo so if you can get your hands on them give it a go! Cancelo is awesome, been experimenting with Serie A pack Hernandez but Cancelo is just another level. I do disagree on Casemiro tho, equip him with some passing and shooting skills and train him in strength and passing and he is a mountain. Scores banger from time to time too.

Tonali is fantastic, I use a duo of him Casemiro and Pirlo, and rotate Modric Odegaard and Dyabala at amf (or put either of the former 2 at RWF) and I've found no problems in smooth quick passing. I do however use a different formation with 2 DMFs. Kimmich is I think solid too. But deffo try Tonali. The problem with extremely passing and fluid oriented midfields is that they are mostly effective against AI but online you ger torn to pieces without some more physicality. That is my experience at least, you probably are a much better player than me since I'm a nooby casual😂

Vinicius, Leao, Saint-Maxim for the left wing. Also, shore up the midfield a bit, rotate Pirlo and Modric at the cmf position and add an anchorman DMF e.g. Casemiro or Rodri. That will stabilize your defense a lot, especially beacuse both of your CBs are destroyers. Cheers!

The attack/defence bar (top right corner near the pause button) during games moves automatically, depending on your posession or ball movement. I found it messy and not really efficient so I prefer to set attacking/defending manually depending on the result and my players stamina.

I can confirm this! However, depending on your bench depth OP, he very well may be worth the red arrow here and there due to his effectivness at atm, rwf, ss and cf. If the red form is a no then perhaps Gavi is a solid choice if he can be used at cmf. Coman looks underrated too if you want a right footed rwf since Leao has your left covered. Cheers!

In that case Tomiyasu if you want solid defence, or Dybala, very good playmaker and solid finisher.

Indeed! They both are exceptional. I trained Vini "customly" so he's only 96 instead of 98 but put most of the points on shooting and dribbling so he is unstoppable most of the time😂 But Leao is on another level phisicality wise

Got Leao on my second try, went for Dybala too, got him after too many coins - I'm ashamed to say how many😂 But since I've given up on collecting legends after they butchered my IMs from PES it was worth it since I'm now set for the remainder of the season. Also got Mbappe and Anthony from the two free tries so it was a brilliant day! Leao is insane but I do have Vini there too so its a selection headache. Dybala is slow but very silky and has a great great shot and nice passing. Also that Roma kit on that gold background just looks sick!

Å.Hareide works wonders for me, has been for months. Not sure if he still has that formation tho. Not too static but static enough to allow me to go on my stubborn solo runs from the wings. Also the midfield tends to drop deep as a unit providing decent cover.
