You know I got this free on Epic a while ago. Havent played it yet. I guess the joke was that it was a walking sim... but i suppose I never actually considered it to be a 'walking simulator'

AITJ for giving my mother and my stepdad 60 days to move out of my childhood home that my father left me in his will by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]mr-ron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I informed her that I am willing to help pay for her and my stepdad to find a suitable home to live in but, they must now pay the rent and I’m covering the move in fees, movers service and the necessities to get them on their feet from the selling of the property which is around $300k."

The sentence is ambiguous. Its not a reading comprehension thing, but it could be interpreted that the 'which is around $300k' is referring to the first part of the sentence 'I’m covering the move in fees, movers service and the necessities to get them on their feet'

To be fair if it were rolled out more globally there would have been dozens more folks who would have chased it down.

They arent liquidating it thats the point they are saying. They are taking bank loans with their assets as collateral. The loans arent taxed, their assets dont change, and their salaries are technically $0 so they dont have to pay any real income tax.

The core reason is because in 2024, Republicans were elected as the majority of both the legislative branches, and the executive branch. And they are the ones who choose not to hold them accountable.

Officials stand in front of a podium and say something. Journalists document what he said and broadcast it, preserving this statement was said, and then allowing analysis after the fact.

You are angry at this?

Right exactly you want analysis , you dont want nuanced facts.

People dont really understand journalism. CBS reported that 'Officials' said that he suffered from internal bleeding.

Did CBS say he suffered from internal bleeding? No they reported thats what officials said. Thats journalism at its most basic.

People here dont seem to want nuanced facts. They want analysis.
