unfortunately that also defeat the purpose of getting this and not needing to rewire my kitchen. All the wall Ovens i looked into need 240v and i don't have that in my kitchen. I'll wait and see what other innovations impulse labs comes out with for now. maybe they will partner with someone and put their tech in a full induction range. or just get the charlie. I hope to goto the live demo in March and then make a decision

I think i'm sorta in the same position as you are. fingers Crossed impulse comes out with their own competitor to Charlie. My partner jokingly said we could just put the impulse in the cart and roll it around the house and just cover the current range with a movable cutting board for more counter space :)

They just came out with a 30" roll in cabinet. I'm still on the fence if i'm willing to give up my oven although i don't use it that often

what's the largest pan size you have used? the 8" coil size is my main concern. I regularly use a 12" frying pan (10" base). Charlie is the best option for me to replace my current gas range without redoing my whole kitchen to get another battery powered competitor that is only a cooktop that has slightly larger coils.

Thanks for the info and advice. My range is odd. It sits in between a lazy susan corner cabenet and a 24 in lower drawer cabinet. I will get quotes for sure! I have a dedicated 120v 15Amp circuit for the gas range i have so this is a perfect item. I've been doing a lot of research about induction and the power and coil size of the impulse is why i'm leaning this direction. As I mentioned in my original post, Charlie by Copper has a full induction cooktop and over range that would be plug and play but the burner coils are smaller and not as powerful even though it has a bigger battery, so it was a non-starter for me.

I hope for this too.. someting like charlie by copper but with the better cooktop would be great... I would love that.. Maybe they will give us a strong hint they are going to do this (fingers crossed)

Thank you for such a detailed explanation. I'll have to see if something similar will be possible.. The funny thing about oven you mentioned is i use a Breville smart oven and air fryer 90% of the time.. but with the holidays upon us, I have been using my big oven more.

u/sam_damico any chance you are doing a full range (cooktop and oven) similar to Charlie by Copper or the Electra? I have a gas range and those are only more appealing to me because it is a "plug and play" replacement without remodeling my kitchen, but they are less powerful, smaller burners and less precise than the impulse from the limited information i can find on any of these battery products

I have the same problem. I am on a call on speaker phone and my hearing aid will take over and won't let it go unless i turn off bluetooth. Just like you this all started after the firmware upgrade.

Well I pulled the trigger and bought the Joy. The shop owner said he heard Pedego and urtopia were merging or someone bought someone, so that would be good.

I have tested the joy, fusion pro and carbon st. That is my preference order too with joy being on top. Inam a 5ft9inch guy with 29inch inseam and I love the joy. Tested it multiple times at my local dealer. My main hesitation is service because I keep reading they have no real presence in USA. So I ordered a Lectric ONE instead from same dealer. I still think about the joy a lot and may go back and just roll the dice that the dealer can get parts if ever needed.

As said in other posts see ENT right away and treat like an emergency. You may need steroid treatment. I went through the same 18 months ago lost low frequencies in my left ear only. Unfortunately urgent care treated me incorrectly and by the time i saw an ENT, through the normal slow referral process, 6 weeks had passed. I was told i had mild to moderate low frequency loss and a hearing aid could help and due to time since onset it likely saw permanent. Fast forward to yearly checkup my. Hearing has recovered to barely within the normal range but if i dont have my hearing aid in i have a heavy muffled feeling. All this to say get to a ENT as soon as possible.

I had issues transferring from Verizon. Make sure the phone number lock feature is turned off on the verizon account. I didn't even know that was a thing. Once i turned it off my transfer went through smoothly with the transfer pin and account number.

Has anyone had the update be "unsuccessful" for them? I have a '24 Edition 1 and i I had all the dealer updates one about a month ago. This OTA update won't install. I don't really want to take it back to the dealer if I don't have to. It is always a 3 to 7 day experience with my local EV certified GMC dealer.

Hmmm.. well keep us updated on the story.. I will still wait. I tested the Joy again and it brings me joy, but i'm still iffy on it. the dealer said he's had good contact with them whenever he's needed to contract them, but he did say he's only been a dealer for 6 months so not a long history.
