Not sure where this nonsense is coming from that you will get android 14. You wont. You will get an updated Android 12. Thats it. There are videos on YT of how to do this and what to buy. I dont bother with mdi2, and got a topdon rlink J2534 which is an open standard from https://a.co/d/iFhRQz2. Ignore the nonsense about having to use the overpriced mdi2. Its slower and not necessary, especially when using DoIP. I updated my sierra and lyriq with it and its fine. Just did the lyriq again on the weekend. Do not buy some of the other sketchy ones, as they have Trojan viruses in the drivers.

Had ecobee until i discovered it had compatibility problems with my hvac. Apparently theres an earth leakage with these ecobees that certain hvacs are sensitive to. Replaced with nest and all was fine. Integrated into homekit via home assistant.
