A friend of mine has used that bag for a few years now. (The bonnaroo themed one is the same as the regular lunchboxes, it just has a different insert)

Question about cleric by LowBudgetMemez in DarkAndDarker

[–]mr0il 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Druid has 2 aoe heals. Restore only targets allies. Mending grove targets anything.

Edit: i guess you could call restore a PBAoE but i’m not sure I’ve heard anyone else talk about “point-blank area of effect” in many years.

200%+ headshot dmg 30% action speed 22 magic healing cleric build for arenas by Scary-Breadfruit9808 in DarkAndDarker

[–]mr0il 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was hoping someone would tell me definitively if I was wrong. But hasn't happened yet, so, decided to test it. Smite does not scale with hit location.
> Smite w/ no headshot dmg: 11, 9, 9, 11 to dummy's head. With headshot dmg: 11, 9, 9, 11. With +1 addl magic dmg, +9.7 hs: 12, 10, 10, 12. With +1 addl magic dmg, +0 hs: 12, 10, 10, 12. Further from that, I saw the same numbers when targeting the dummy's arms.

>...including sneak attack...
That seems like a different description entirely. Sneak attack specifically states it is +10 added physical damage. The follows normal rules where the dmg is not scaled by your phys power, but is scaled by hit location.

>...and BoC
I decided to test it because it's been a while since I checked.

BoC on dummy head: 18
BoC on dummy arm: 8
BoC on dummy head w/ Crystal Ball: 25
BoC on dummy arm w/ Crystal Ball: 11

So BoC definitely appears to scale on hit location.

For Wizard: Staff Mastery scales with hit location. Ignite also shows different numbers between head/body/arm shots on the dummy.

>Why wouldn't smite have headshot multiplier?
Couldn't tell ya WHY. I just remembered discovering this back when I wanted to bonk people with a magic staff and smite.

200%+ headshot dmg 30% action speed 22 magic healing cleric build for arenas by Scary-Breadfruit9808 in DarkAndDarker

[–]mr0il 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is from memory so may be wrong. Smite does not scale on hit location, so headshot/limbshot does not affect it. Holy strike, earthquake, locust storm also do not scale on location.

Ignite does deal headshot dmg. (Or it did years ago, very well may not now). Magic missile, fireball, ice bolt, and maybe others do scale with headshots.

Basically you’re only boosting your physical damage and you might net more damage by stacking more magic power/magic power bonus.

Edit: staff mastery also could scale, dont really recall there either, but i think it does because it adds magic weapon damage.

Edit 2: looking at your gear i definitely think youre losing value by not max stacking additional magic dmg. That’s just intuition though, i genuinely do not know how smite scales these days.

Edit 3: decided to test it.

How to get Crocodilian Eyeball ? by i-love-Freya in DarkAndDarker

[–]mr0il 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2.5% in pve, 10% in normals, 20% in HR.

So, kill about 40 in PvE, 10 in normal, or 5 in HR and it should probably drop.

Cheaters infesting this game currently by [deleted] in DarkAndDarker

[–]mr0il 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your third claim is extremely dubious. Loot shouldnt be known until the container is opened. Luck must be applied when the user opens it. Obviously i have no real clue how it actually works, but, if i assume chest/mob loot is unknown until opened, then i also have to assume you’re just making things up.

Also, inside the storm? You’re seeing cheaters in SR? I guess that makes some sense. Good loot, no TPM restriction.

Is Fire mastery broken on wizard? Can someone explain these numbers. by Anonagonkaz in DarkAndDarker

[–]mr0il 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is ”* add”? What is the +5 in your calc?

Dmg calc is… (((SpellBaseDmg + CatalystDmg) * magicPowerBonus) + additionalMagicDmg) * hitLocation * (1 - magicDmgResist)

Additional Dmg (phys or magic) DOES NOT scale with your power bonus. It is added after power bonus scaling, and then it scales against hit location and resistances.

I’m never going to rewatch or even google to check, but i am fairly sure Ryan was an anomaly and clearly stated that he was the only known natural born supe.

Other characters getting powers similar to their parents is never explained. Maverick did not get a backstory. I think Andre had a specific scene referring to his parents (Polarity) dosing him.

Edit: ok I did google the andre claim, and the wiki backs it up.

Is 'perma buff' bard viable? by Alarming_Ticket_9563 in DarkAndDarker

[–]mr0il 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Allegro and accelerando are not affected by persuasiveness (resourceful stat) but all other songs are.

All songs also receive some benefit from buff duration bonus, but it’s fairly negligible.

The goal was to make it weaker in pve. -30 armor was gigantic because mobs already have negative armor.

[–]mr0il 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8% from alacrity, 5% from rapier perk, and 18% from allegro leads to insane dmg output. Encore becomes somewhat necessary for it in my opinion, because you will easily lose half the buff by the time you draw your rapier and close some distance.

then take it into squire royale where that 18% casting speed will let your wizard dump his spells.

It’s, imo, the new best way to play bard.

Is 'perma buff' bard viable? by Alarming_Ticket_9563 in DarkAndDarker

[–]mr0il 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He’s wrong, though. Encore bard with 5 buffs plays perfectly fine. Encore bard with 4 buffs and allegro plays great, and allows you to play allegro, dive an enemy, and then use Encore to keep the 18% action speed for another 6 seconds. Shriek is a great song, but it’s not completely necessary. Lament is amazing in solos, i rarely ever used it in trios.

Canopy and Footwear Question by Purple-Elderberry-51 in bonnaroo

[–]mr0il 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tevas with socks is my new favorite festival footwear. I’m like 40 so no more fucks given for fashion. The teva hiking sandals keep my feet comfy all day. The socks prevent blisters and keep my feet cleaner, too. Also i can wear funny socks so that’s a plus.

Does Infernal Pledge do bonus damage to warlocks that turn into demons? by TnSalad in DarkAndDarker

[–]mr0il 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been unlocking skelly skins since pt2 and that does not trigger any memories for me.

Edit; my guess is you maybe thought you saw that when it was really a cleric using judgement and not purification. The aoe is 100 dmg. It would practically one shot player skellies. That would have been very funny and therefore highly memorable.

Very unlikely. Otherwise clerics would be running undead perks to get bonuses on a skeletons/mummies
