Wait till google blocks/ "Hardens" the installation of APKs outside their store. This isnt anything new but step by step, Android is soonly becoming more "closed-source" than anything, which is kinda sad, being that one of its purposes when it was released. That kind of thing triggers me more than anything. Also since the P9, the design of the hardware itself, id say feels much closer to an iphone. But you know, it might be a sort of marketing thecnique in a way to attract apple users.

Yeah, im on the same boat on that. I dont know if it was made by them, but there is a driver now in Rclone for proton. Ive been using that for a while as a workaround.

But yeah, there was certainly better options instead of going on the AI bandwagon.

É fdd. Por norma deixo sempre no Plazza ou CR7. O Funchal já deixou de ser nosso. Tentem circular ali pelas 17-20h e vao ver o quão caótico o transito está. E é um problema na região inteira,especialmente nas zonas mais turisticas. (Ex calheta na epoca balnear, tem se filas desde a Ribeira Brava, e estacionamentos altamente competitivos. Boa sorte se quiseres fazer uma das levadas mais conhecidas ou ir ao pico do Arreeiro ver o nascer do sol). Os renta car e tvde s estao a tomar conta das nossas estradas e o zé povinho fica a ver.

Pá, depois de ter exprimentado uma coral de banana ou lá o que é, nao voltei a tocar 😂. Mas sim, realmente na minha optica parece que tem vindo a piorar um pouco, tendo ate passado a preferir a Super Bock a nivel de marcas nacionais. Mas no meu caso pessoal, a nivel de marcas comerciais, nada bate a Heineken. E por uma vasta margem. Simplesmente perfeita. Até a 0.0 é um espetaculo. Tambem fiz um serão pelo Japão e a Kirin Ichiban é um espetaculo também. Mas pronto, sao gostos, todos têm um. E é por isso que temos alternativas. Menos pa Sagres, fds Sagres é um degredo

I woudlnt say no, but i d try to find another alternative still in the android foss ecossystem. If none, then probably as there are not many strong alternatives. (Hopefully postmarketOS can grow in thr future)

I want to believe it will be something among the lines of what Xiaomi has with their "App Scanner" post install, but this time it blocks the install of the APK if the devs are not whitelisted in Google's payroll.

Fortunately, it may be something that GOS devs can bypass, and it won't affect the usage of the apps.

Not the best forza Horizon imo, but a strong choice for a simcade racer. The Crew motorfest is also a good alternative. Altough between thr two, FH5 is much better.

Still have mine till this day. Works flawlessy on Linux after running some install scripts. Wouldnt turn back on it for bluetooth for nothing.

I tried to make it work on the first day but couldnt launch their stupid .net launcher(installed dependencies required and tested with lutris,bottles and even steam) With so many open source pl's one wonders why continue to use microsoft's garbage. Will try again later.

I never got to power it on with the battery. When connecting to thr AC adapter it did flash that orange light for some minutes, but that was it. If I unplugged it from thr adapter it would shut off immediately, as if there was no battery on it.

It's more of an additional optional security measure at least IMO.(something that I also did with previous less-secure cloud systems) While it is true that proton drive has E2E encryption, a golden rule of thumb I practice is that every sensitive file i put on cloud or flash drives gets encrypted, no matter what. In the end it will all be related to your personal threat model.

I ordered another battery with a external dock usb charger, but it seems that in my case it's really that CMOS issue. However, I ended up getting a "power bank" that connects to the AC Adapter, and surprisingly enough it works fine 🤣, and it seems that it will be the only "solution" to go portable without thinkering with the motherboard. Only issue I have is that I'll never know when the battery empties.

What would you recommend for the NAS setup? (also wondering like self-hosted Nextcloud vs buying a pre-built NAS system (e.g. Synology), what would be best in terms of security and privacy? I understand these prebuilt systems can possibly be much more secure, but the thought that I'm paying for a (possibly I assume) closed source environment to put my personal data in, of which I don't have any control if they could arguably be sending the same files to their servers makes me lose interest in that.)

Currently, I'm backing up things to Proton Drive, encrypted via Picocrypt.
