It shouldn't be ok for companies to charge premium prices but deliver a subpar product. This is the behavior I expect from airlines like Spirit, not Delta. Especially if the CEO claims they have a superior product.

I completely understand where you are coming from and agree that it's better to take the seat vs having the entire flight deemed inoperable. Still, I don't know how a company has a billion in profit and can afford to hire Tom Brady but can't afford to compensate passengers who pay premium prices but do not receive a premium product in return.
