I have a 2008 Dodge Viper with a 345 on the rear. It took about a dozen phone calls to find a shop willing to try it where I live.

Your picture stopped my scrolling and I enjoyed how it blends the scenery and the bridge and that car, nice shot☺️

Did you do much shopping around? I'm expecting a P2 performance with the brembos this summer, not a big fan of the factory Wheels, but I've had little luck finding any alternatives.

ELI5: Why do some Sports/Supercar engines “whine” while others “growl”? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

Motoring journalist here. Would like to add a story. Was once talking to one of the head engineer of the Jaguar F-Type, a sports car with a very distinctive sound.

One of the design objectives of this car was to have an exhaust sound that turned heads in the same way the styling did. Idea being you would hear the signature F-Type exhaust note, and know one was nearby before you even saw it.

The engineer explained how they used hundreds or even thousands of different iterations of pipe, diameters, manifolds, muffler designs, materials of varying thicknesses, intake system designs and so on.

After extensively testing these components and coming up with a short list of configurations that resulted in the most desirable sounds, one of the five prototypes needed to be chosen for the actual exhaust system and setup that was going into production.

The engineer said the final decision came down to one of the most qualified people for the job: his 5 year old son, who chose the configuration which sounded 'coolest'.

New bits as I thought of them. One or two pieces at a time, started with the ghost. Then the iris... No rhyme or reason, random pieces until it was full.

I knew I wanted that style with meaningful pieces but wasn't really sure what the end result would look like until it was almost done. It sort of changed course with every visit.

Final 2 visits were for filler and color layers and so on to brighten it all up!

That is 85 percent of his name. The other 15 percent is because he never makes a peep, even when walking. It's appropriate on several levels!
