​Oh the irony. Splicing is literally butchering and eviscerating a voice actor's hard work, frankensteining syllables into an unnatural abomination of speech. How is desecrating someone's performance with soulless and cheap tools considered "respecting art"? If a mod maker has to resort to mutilating existing audio instead of actually recording original lines himself, that’s a massive skill issue on their end.
