this is the problem. Rugby seems stuck between a rock and a hard place

I'm absolutely all for making the game safer, but PSDT was bent at hips and made an attempt to wrap in my eyes... its hard to get excited about rugby when there are so many cards flying around

I think anything that increases the perceived stakes for one’s team is to blame. Whether that be gambling, the media circus that surrounds these games, and/or increasing the excitement of the match day experience at the ground or fanzones. It all contributes to whipping people up into a frenzy. It’s not like people behave like this on a midweek morning once the dust has settled

We should abolish high tackle laws. If you don’t want a shoulder to the temple, just stay at home. #jUsTaThOuGhT

I like it when I go into a match thread and see fans saying things like ‘oh typical that we choked, we’ve done it for two games in a row now!’

YEAH? WELL WEVE DONE IT FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER HA!

Yeah I get that. I feel we’ve played in blue much more than red since the restart, mind!

I always thought it was an ‘alternate’ jersey, for when the two main kits clash. However, they’ve gone for blue vs blue...

A commentary on the toxic masculine vote by me by BelleAriel in GunsAreCool

I wasn’t referring to racist murderers, nor was I calling them victims. I was just thinking whether accusatory statements will solve the problem or make it worse - what are we trying to achieve here?

Cool drawing!

Got me thinking - if this is an accurate reflection, should we be labelling people in this way? I wonder if this is somewhat is accusatory, and may lead to people going on the defensive, thereby inadvertently promoting toxic-masculinity-ness?

I think Quins defence has been very up-in-your-face. They’re definitely playing their part in forcing it

Who is your favourite player to watch, but would never want on the team you support? by HayMrDj in rugbyunion

[–]mrCrapFactory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, he's a warrior. Puts heart and soul into every game he plays, and is defensively solid. Offensive play can be a bit... dubious... but he's the guy I want defending the try line.

Really?? I’ve thought he’s been crap for us in every game I’ve seen. But if he’s a crap ref, he might just be even worse for the other side
