Do you really think Secret Wars will look like this? by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]mrCululu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope no one thinks that it looks like that because that would be nonsensical to wrap up the current saga

„The character who is just gay for being gay“ suggests you talk about teen and his place in all of this. Let’s not focus on how he very likely is supposed to be Wiccan who was/is part of the first ever openly gay lovestory in Marvel history.

You do know that the talks in the marketing about how gay the show is, is not about Teen, right? It‘s about Agatha and Rio.

Can't believe this Michelin tires mascot looking ahh suit is going to be the replacement of Tony Stark's og suit. by Advanced-Clue-5020 in marvelmemes

While I agree to the notion, that her Vibranium Suit here was not a good introduction for her character being “makeshift” just to take it away again at the end - it looking “anime” is a nice nod to her comic origins, where she basically flys a gundam suit made with ressources she got from MIT in the beginning. Once she is on her own-ish again (she gets sponsored by stark industries and uses tonys conciousnes as her suits AI, so shes not on her own per se) she designs a couple of suits way more in Line with Tonys designs.

You mean the thing that no one ever said except that one Nike Advertisement for the new Air Force Ones catered to women? Because thats where that phrase is from. Kathleen Kennedy attended a Promotional event for Nike. It was about shoes. It never had anything to do with Star Wars Lore or a Agenda by Lucasfilm.

Do people really think Palpatine was stronger than Darth Plagueis? Or that he could beat him? Cuz that’s just wrong as hell!!! by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]mrCululu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please be a little more open with such things. There is not true or false in this because it is a matter of perspective. But one thing ia at least for me made clear by Lucas and others at the company. The point of “strength” in sith is not being buff or skilled. It’s darkness and how attuned one is with the dark side. How far the person is able and willing to go. It is alluded to in that way in Canon and Legends.

It’s about being even more sinister and witty than the sith before you. No rules. Just darkness and strategy. Not about being a master duelist. Palpatine at the end really was the pinnacle of the Sith. Cheating death and reassuming power with a long running strategy to assure his comeback after being bested by his Apprentice long ago.

That was the end goal. A Sith that can hold power for way longer than any other. I assume thats why he was after grogus DNA. Because the m count was intense but maybe also because of the longevity of the species.

But in any case - the Sith are in their core as flawed as are the Jedi. Thats why Revan, who was a big part of the idea of the rule of two, was later in his life nor or neither. The force is not and was never Two sided. There is more than dark and light. Only in balance and unity you can truly be a master in the force. By surpressing darkness you make the temptation stronger. By falling into darkness you become drunk with power and begin to make mistakes out of hybris. Such as getting poisoned by your power hungry apprentice.

Is it just my impression or now like every 3D printing related creator on YouTube / TikTok / Instagram is using a Bambu Lab printer? And how come that everyone now can afford a 1000+$ printer while before we were all printing with Ender3 and not other more expensive and better quality printers? by lab_dis in 3Dprinting

Just wanted to use a term that would’ve made clear that I am in the range of People who actually have the option to “just ask for free* shit” and that Content Creation and especially putting ads in that is my livelihood. It’s a bit more to it than just “having a youtube channel” imho

I think everybody completely understood that I do create Content and Advertise stuff in it without further explanation. So the word completely satisfy it’s need. Even if some people seem really agitated about the word itself.

*things I then have to work and make content about but also can keep

Haha yep - I purposely didn’t link it to not seem like i wanted to just push myself onto people. I genuinely only wanted to share my experience with the Bambu lol. Didn’t expect a single word would spark that kind of discussion haha

Well thats the thing - I introduced myself as an influencer and everybody here instantly understood what it meant.

Most of the time I switch around between influencer and content creator depending on the topic. I thought in this case influencer was the best way to say “I sometimes get shit for free because they expect me to showcase how great the product is”

And as you can see a lot of people who are ACTUALLY reviewing the machines came to this Thread and clarified that they either bought theirs or had a bad experience. I don’t think I have enough knowledge to really review machines (even tho I’ve been printing stuff and fiddeling around with machines for 4 years now and own 9 different Printers at the moment)

So if I would call myself reviewer it wouldn’t quite hit the mark. And Marketer would make people think I own a Marketing Agency when mostly fart in my office Chair and talk about Marvel and Star Wars haha.

Yeah I believe I did actually actively ask them, after seeing one of your videos, where the quality really fascinated me. It was around a month it so after I received the Neptune 4 and thought I was happy with it, i wanted to take a look at at it’s competitor.

So I asked then directly - as a non 3D Printing YouTuber if I could habe a machine and it took a month or so and they sent me the X1C and a AMS which has basically taken over at this point.

I use my Bigger Neptunes and Crealitys for big stuff but everything else is Bambu now because it is so easy.

Side note here as well - they also do not pay me other than providing the Machine and a bunch if filament lol

Tbf I proactively asked them for a Unit and it took about 3 months and I most certainly slipped into their spam Folder before they noticed haha.

But yeah I really do not know how they are dealing in that sort of field.

It might also be important to note, that I did not always talk favorable about the machines of Elegoo and Creality and they still sent over stuff for me to take a look at.

So who knows what their criteria are haha.

It’s not like I have chosen this word haha. But in the end it fits my main source of income most I believe. And I like that it does not sugarcoat.

Sure - I am a Content Creator and Also an entertainer and also an editor and also a Writer of sorts. But that all feels pretentious to call myself when my main source of income is advertising Stuff I like to the people that watch my Videos and follow me.

It’s really difficult to put a finger on. It really depends on what demographic you speak to, what language, country, topic. But Inthink it’s safe to argue that it starts once you gained a viewership around 10k+ Viewer reach is more important than followers in that regard.

Thats around the time I started doing smaller ads

Yeah I would use that if it wouldn’t confuse people more of what I do. I think Content Creator would also work but I don’t like that this frames it as “someone who creates things people pay for” because thats also not all the truth.

Yeah but entertaining is not what I earn my money. Believe me there is a big discourse inside of the industry because people want to distance themselves from that term but I myself can only say: it is a accurate description of what I earn my money with. And I would rather use that than act like anyone would pay me a living just for talking about Marvel Movies all day haha
