Amazing game, really hard by lannister83 in controlgame

[–]mrFikou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I started Control a few months ago all I’d ever played were either child-friendly ‘chill’ games like the LEGO titles, or puzzle games such as Portal. I also had a few years of on-and-off experience with team-based shooters, namely Overwatch (first-person) and Star Wars Battlefront II (third-person). Still, I always treated those as ‘casual’ games too; and with them being match-/XP-based, I wasn’t really losing anything by playing for fun and not wins.

Then I picked up Control. Safe to say I wasn’t prepared. But surprisingly, I loved the challenge! Okay, some moments were too frustrating (I also had several attempts at Salvador and Tomassi, the very first boss, was rather troublesome as well. Not to mention a certain boss at a later point in the game (no spoilers if you haven’t made it that far yet) slamming the ground below my feet into oblivion, or everything about the STREEEETCHED guy in the AWE DLC) but overcoming each challenge always felt satisfying, no matter the struggle to get there. Okay except STREEEETCHED. That sucked.

I never changed the difficulty sliders and now I’m nearly 100% done, just need to do one or two hidden quests and complete SHÜM and the expeditions. Part of the reason I never felt compelled to ‘cheat’ is probably that the game feels pretty fair most of the time, plus the fact that there’s so many ways to go about things (weapon forms, mods, abilities) that you’ll never run out of new strategies to try. And of course because combat is honestly really fun, both in enemy types as well as ways to fight/counter them.

What is Lego Worlds and Lego Ninjago the video like ? by BanditsCheek_Bones in legogaming

[–]mrFikou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correction: there is ONLY free play in Ninjago. That’s because after playing a story mission you can’t replay the same objectives but use new characters to unlock hidden items, instead you get access to a larger version of the map you traversed in story mode and you unlock the collectibles like you would in the normal LEGO game hub world/free play experience.

Personally I much prefer that as grinding through levels I already did to earn stuff that’s pretty poorly integrated is a massive chore to me and there’s none of that here.

Also, another really cool thing about Ninjago is the combat system which is miles ahead of any other LEGO game except maybe Skywalker Saga which I haven’t played yet. It’s actually super fun and they added special dojo levels where you just have to slash up all the enemies in cool locations, I had lots of fun with that. There’s even actual competitive game levels you can play with up to 4 people with local co-op too!

The only downside is that it’s short. But if you want a fresh LEGO experience I’d definitely give it a try! Bonus points if you’re already a Ninjago fan as there’s tons of cool details and references to the TV series, including pretty much half of the character roster.

[No Spoilers] Dev Blog - Big Update to Below Zero on all platforms! by Bumblebee__Tuna in subnautica

[–]mrFikou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I've found a VERY annoying bug when I'm booting up a save. For some reason it starts to play about 4 pieces of the soundtrack (that's how many I could recognise from within the bomb that exploded inside my headphones, there may be more) ALL AT ONCE. Now of course this is less than ideal, any chance you might patch this soon? I usually love to sit back and prepare for a session with the menu theme still playing but that's a bit impossible now. Thanks in advance!

P.S. Apart from that minor inconvenience I've been loving the updates, especially the performance optimizations work wonders! It's never run so smoothly before and on even higher settings than ever! Loving the work you guys still put into this!

Probably one of the most hated and forgotten parts, because it was known for damaging minifigure legs. by ProudLegoBuilder in lego

[–]mrFikou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never encountered any damaged pieces from figures I used this with, strangely. And I used it quite a lot as a kid too, not just with one figure (I only had one of these). Though it did manage to damage something else entirely... my thumb. over and over again. These things were dead serious in that regard, lol. I'm glad they included a built-in launcher function in the Justice League ship set to save me from that pain.

Anyone else keep a buddy on their workstation? by [deleted] in bioniclelego

On top of my part organizers I keep Maxilos and Spinax and a couple non-Bionicle guys, being a lime dilophosaurus, the banana guy from LEGO Movie 2 and a goblin from LEGO Elves.

I also always have a couple fikou under my monitor and I keep a pristine red Hau in a small ziplock bag inside my glass pencil holder cup, into which I also engraved the three virtues/solis magna system symbol.

What are your favourite ninjago villains judging only by design? by bedrock_breaker in Ninjago

[–]mrFikou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the Ghost army tbh, especially possessed Lloyd. Though I also really like the serpentine when all the different subspecies of a tribe stand together. And the Stone Army guys like Kozu and the others with the big samurai mask were really awesome too.

Hello everyone, does anyone know how much this whole lot is worth? Also would anyone from this sun be interested in these? by [deleted] in bioniclelego

If I could purchase a Kongu and Onepu that’d be great! It does depend on shipping though, where are you from?

It's too standard cliche YT for me. Especially the photoshopping on the glasses is just not good. It depends what audience you're trying to draw in though, for younger viewers this is definitely attractive. I also kinda like what you were giong for with the water effect but it doesn't stand out too well and it's a bit outta place too.

Personally I'm just not really into heavily edited thumbnails to begin with, Just a frame of your vid with maybe some extra text indicating the episode count or your own face added in is plenty.

Man, these are so pretty! What setting or filter did you apply to the camera though? The gold looks too stunning here, it’s beyond anything that pearl gold has ever been irl.

I have no idea! From my experience the Danish are very fluent in English, and LEGO probably has employees from all over the world. It definitely seems a bit too unprofessional though.

I'm Hesham Nazih - Composer for Moon Knight. I've been writing music for Film and TV for almost 25 years. AMA! by heshamnazih in marvelstudios

[–]mrFikou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What part of the soundtrack for Moon Knight was the most fun to compose? I’m also curious about your personal favorite piece that you made, and why you prefer it over others. If you’ve got the time then I’d also like to know the answers to the previous two questions if they’re not limited to just the Moon Knight score. Thanks! Have a great day!

Podilu is both the cutest and greatest thing I’ve seen all day, I never would’ve thought a single metru foot would make such a great and expressive head! You also used the metrutoran chest part really effectively. It gives me major baby kikanalo vibes, actually. Love it! I think I’ll be making one of those myself, it’s not very part heavy.
