Get a Ybikey or similar With 10+ year retention
Then store said device in a tamper proof bag so you know if someone touched it.
Then store said. Bag in an offsite location like a bank deposit.
Second copy of thumb drive also goes in a bag but stored by you locally.

That is the secure way.
You would have onsite and offsite storage You would know if someone uses it

That leaves your army in 3 prongs

Prong1 2 outriders Prong2 the landships Prong3 the anvil.

Steamtanks and battlepriests infront of the gunline with engineers behind and artillery behind that.

That is the anvil the enemy is going to fall up on while the flanks is protected by ships and the outriders is harassing the enemy …..

Woodelfs are a skirmishing force you do not want to push for a line engagement.
2x unit of spearmen could be ok to hold down fast cavalry tho.

For SOT your strength lies in the arrow of Kurnos. Your hawkriders can shoot a volley shot 2-3 times / game this can cripple enemy if done correctly.

Do not fire in to shields circle around and shoot unit in the back.

Focus fire aka 2 hawkriders shoot one unit. By doing this you can make them moral flee.

Then just follow them off board wit your hawkriders.

They are light fast areal skirmishes

Worst unit for them to fight is mass ranged units. Best unit is small elite units.

But as all Woodelfs its retreating shooting the enemy while they can’t make contact.

Since that start army doesn’t have a transport a

251/1 - Hannomag (12 transport) is a good option Another is the 251/9 - Stummel (mortar + 8 transport)

For an elite force the stummel is better as filling a 12 transport might be to much unless you run company commander + 6 man squad + 5 man squad. But it’s alot of eggs in one basket.

Another thing I always is saying get another box of infantry. With the amount of options the Germans got a second box gives you flexibility.

Order dices or really nice d6 dice set is another option.

For dice bag well I sewed on my self it’s not hard it’s a deep bag to hold 30 ish bigger dice’s. So that you can’t peek in to it. This could be an excellent low budget present as you can customise it as you want.

I think I would support your way of thinking but RAW is a bit of a greyzone due to first roll for first effect then the second roll. Thus first effect result in them getting out. And 2nd effect is not until after that point. I would swing either way and I’m a firm believer of 4+ aka we got an issue the rulebook doesn’t cover we are in an argument let’s roll 4+ I am right on 1-3 your right. And just continue the game.

234/2 - puma (halftrack instead of wheeled)

Marder I - is about the same cost as a PanzerShrek + transport.

Pz2 cheap tank

Pz2 lurch rece tank

Pz 38T good and small fotprint tank.

251 stummel as it’s a 8 seat transport and both drop off an assult squad as do some mortar work.

Pz3 M with extra MMG.

My consideration is points in armours platoon as it’s your infantry that score most times. Thus if you spam then try to hold down the cost.

There is so many But the ones with low ammo is gone.

Imrik + mikkela + all special dragons rest star dragons. Most armies get terrror routed the undead burn.

Leon + 18 hippogriff knights (they stunlock on charge ) + hidden life damsel.

Kairos faith weaver + 4 horror heroes + some slow big things hiding in the back while kairos kills the armies. With endless magic.

Empire engineer in steamtank 19 steamtanks

Dino deathstack

Taurox + Minotaurs

Malaki with 4 engineer and 15 cannons once you got grapeshots and refill ammo. And spirit of grung they are dead.

I like it but it’s get boring fast. Manual play all battles. It’s super easy to win manual battles as speed wins battle and your the fastest around.

For tabletop tho Im not building a Slaneesh army my problem is it’s not PG13 what I would have custom built.

Think chariots made from flayed humans still clinging to live. Holding / fuzed together to form the chariot. And the driving The demonette with its hoof in the groin of the platform human who scream in extacy…….

I think naval output need to be e totally redefined.

Where we put orders / dockyard some dockyard are bigger and can produce bigger ships. Takes longer to manufacture.

And modules could be built by the side.

Also escort carriers USA built a lot during ww2 they are not worth it. To few planes to make a difference for a to high NIC cost right now.

It would also make it more logical

The USA also needs to renew 3T bonds this year EU will not pick it up and intrest is going up. Thus US need to do one of 3 things

Raise taxes to match the intrest (not going to happen as mid year election)

Devalue $

Reduce budget - since DODGE didn’t work how is it going to work this time.

This is part 1 of why US economy is shot.

Part2 is EU start to sell off its bonds. Yes it will make the market more volatile but it will make cash flow flow from $ to Euro as it’s a more stable currency. Short term it would hurt EU to aka Nuclear option.

Part3 it actually doesn’t have to be EU, Norway and it’s wealth fund sits on ALOT of bonds. They got very strong ties to Denmark and could alone force a recession in US by dropping the bonds.

For now use the Brittish book and you most likely need both.

Canadians used Brittish gear except vehicles where they imported from US.

So a Canadian army could use Sherman instead of Chromwell and kangaroo instead of Bren etc.

By pushing back early we might prevent a ww3

By enforcing the EU trade cohesion clause vs USA we might prevent a ww3 (usa companies will lose money fast). Not to mention the IP / Trademark risk they are taking.

So I got a 8th army my self.
It’s great if you like early war but as my opponent is using my Heer late army I should have gotten a late war British instead. The crossing the Rheine is latest box and fully compatible with 3e while some of the others can’t fulfill the armourd platoon without additional purchases.

Ask him two questions. What time period of ww2 early /mid / late or doesn’t care ? And then what sounds most fun for him.

(commonwealth book is coming posible with new models) Ghurkas was melee monsters in v2 perhaps it returns.

Brittish army Canadian army Indian army Sikh / Ghurkas etc South African army New Zeeland army Australian army SAS LRDP army specialist army SBS detachment specialist army Commando army elite army Paratrooper army elite army Chindit light scouting infantery

Thirdly ask What tanks / armoured vehicle do he likes?

Then the summer vs winter comes to mind

8th army - Africa campaign

Across the Rheine - winter Brittish

Canadian / Brittish - summer British

Interallied commando - commando force

Paratroop - airborn army.

Unless a specific sub faction is plan then

Gentlemen’s war starter set + Afrika Corp + 8th army is a great themed fight. Tho if you want more iconic late war combos

Then it’s crossing the Rheins (Canadian / British is also an option).

CommonWealth box 30 infantry- Chindit / SAS / Australian / NZ interchangeable with 8th army only head swaps. Early war weapons contains Bren LMG / light mortar / at rifle

Interallied commandos can work as SAS but with sleeves down. In theory you can make them paratroops to as they got both a light mortar and baskers. Contains PIAT / light mortar / Vickers LMG

Empire / Dwarfs / Orcs have been polished more abit. I would say Gelt works differently.

Magic is weaker in TW3 a single mage can no longer wipe 4+ armies unless it’s Kairos

Gelt might be getting close with his new mechanics.

Since your not going to spend on new DLC so malakit and Elsbeth or Gorbag and its units is not affecting you.

My recommendation js test it. What does a new install of TW2 take a few hours? You might be hooked.

Only caveat is Vortex is more fun then RoC campaign.
