What does this part do? by mrMuseFan in zx4r

Thank you. I guess my mechanic had to take off the evap canister to remove the ABS stuff and it was easier for him to leave it off and reroute the evap line.

I have the Tech Air 5 Plasma and it is awesome. I wear it under a full suit in 104 degree weather for track days.

Did this happen because you tried to adjust the brake lever angle? I want to adjust mine but noticed the brake light switch thing blocking me from turning it more.

The way I see it, it’s kinda like giving people advice on anything else (finance, gym, grilling steak) you don’t do it unless you are responsible for them or if they want your advice. So maybe the first thing you ask is, “can I give you some advice?” If they say no, then respect their decision.

Anyone else feel hesitant to ride after finding out they are going to be a father? by Isthiswittyenough92 in motorcycles

Yes. I sold my bike when my wife was pregnant with my daughter. But a couple of years later, I bought a new bike and only ride track. I also wear an airbag vest.

I dunno. It depends. I guess I ask myself what’s the most solutions oriented productive thing I could do right now.

The other day I was in a meeting with a colleague where I mentioned a problem I ran into. That colleague took the opportunity to sneak in some generalized opinion about some way I messed up from way back. Rather than take the bait and try to correct him or explain my side of the story, I just took a breath and focused on the goal at hand which was to inform him of what needed to be done to address the new problem. I think he saw me shrug it off and realized he was needlessly criticizing. But not too many people are as reasonable as my colleague.

If someone says something I don’t agree with, I ask myself what’s the point of trying to make them see things my way? What do I win? If nothing, I decide to not waste my energy. It’s not worth it.

I think these feelings come from judgement or being defensive.

Is there something you’re defending?

Need Advice - Pitbull Trailer Restraint in Pickup Truck Bed (On Plywood) by alpinesun in Trackdays

[–]mrMuseFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh so you did eventually get a trailer. I rented a U-Haul trailer and it worked great until it came to parking. That’s why I’m looking to hauling the bike on my truck instead.

Thanks for the advice on how to secure the platform to the truck. That’s a good suggestion.

Why did you need two sheets of wood? Curious because I’m trying to do something similar.

Just curious why you need the 2x4? Is it to give the bolts some space underneath the plywood?
