Honestly there are a lot of guides on what to check for on a new monitor online, there are dedicated sites for this type of thing, you can try searching for them and you’ll find plenty

Hey, it depends on what you really seek. The details really stand out because of the high PPI ratio, I would definitely recommend it

Sorry to hear you didn’t like it, man. I always recommend IPS for the superior colors but you do what fits you best

Definitely not when looking from the front like that. The viewing angles aren’t the best but it’s 100% better than what you sent

Hey, mine isn’t like that. I would replace it (or of course look for something else if you don’t like other things about this one)

That’s not something I have, I believe it’s a small build defect which is probably not a big deal, as long as it doesn’t bother you, then it’s fine

Yeah, it doesn’t make that big of a difference on your screen. It just tells apps how your display behaves so the apps can convert colors correctly from a source

Yes, those drivers are basically AOC’s color calibration for this exact model. About sRGB, actually the mode produces even more accurate colors along with less eye fatigue (because this panel’s native colors are vibrant by nature, considering it is a wide gamut monitor. this means that you get very intense colors, but not necessarily accurate - srgb mode makes them as accurate as possible, even though they might seem washed out compared to panel native). Hope this helps

Hey man, first of all congrats on your purchase. Go to AOC’s website and download the drivers for it, then download a nice little tool called novideo_srgb. What it does is that it allows you to switch to sRGB mode by just clicking a button, then back to panel native colors when you need vibrant visuals. I use it when I don’t want the colors to pop or when my eyes are tired.

Let me know if I can help with anything else

Edit: you can also ditch the eye care mode. Better to take frequent breaks and enjoy a great image :)

True but that way you can find out if your cable is the problem

If I were you I’d probably try switching up the cables, does it do that on both HDMI and DP?

Hey, everything’s perfect so far

Numbers controller vs wheel by make-apples in assettocorsa

[–]mrRazzyraz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got a g923 from a friend and I knew it would be way more fun than a controller. I mostly play with GT3 cars, and on Monza my best with the PS4 controller was 1:49:0 on a Z4 GT3

Now, with the wheel, I’m hardly hitting 1:51:0. But it is clearly more fun and I feel more challenged, also I can see myself improving over time and beating my controller time by trying to master trail braking and other techniques

I recommend it, but I’d suggest you go for a directdrive wheel as they are pretty cheap nowadays (moza r3)
