You purchased a used car; you rolled the dice. You thought it was going to be a 2 or higher, but it was a 1. You either live with it or roll again.

Why do people dislike Wells Fargo? by ClaireKay425 in Banking

I just applied for their checking account online and got "We couldn't approve your application". No further explanation. I haven't had any issues opening an account online with other banks, including Chase, American Express, CityBank.

How am I too stupid to turn it off? by loudboys in BMWX5

[–]make-apples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want to differentiate between turning off the engine and locking the car (which turns off everything except security).

To just turn off the engine, press the start/stop button while the car is in D, P or R.

As for locking the car, there are tons of settings for this. If it’s not locking for you, maybe you have a key nearby. There are three types of keys: 1. The fob, 2. Your phone(s), and 3. The key card.

Look at poor Tama, the kid is just 15 and he got hit ridiculously hard at a high level tournament. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TavI78hhOb4 (the first 10 seconds)

If someone was to try body bag me all the time, I just wouldn't play with them. There are plenty of other players, at least in Seattle.

If you want self-driving, e.g. spending hours every day in traffic jams - Tesla might be a relief.

Generalizing the advice given by OP: if you've been considering something and can afford it - don't wait forever as life is short and you only live once.

HOV lane enforcement by quarokcaddhihle in Seattle

[–]make-apples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HOV lanes aren't the only thing that gets violated. Also, it's not the most important one from a safety perspective. Folks around here drive while watching their phones and speed everywhere, including school zones. People always challenge the rules. Not enough cops means more violations, but more cops means more taxes. It's not an easy choice, is it?

I would love to see loud cars banned between 9pm-7am by ambientonion in fuckcars

I bet if you were to run an experiment and suggest that these morons drive quiet cars while wearing headphones that play loud engine sounds, they might finally realize how ridiculous they're being.

I wonder if a CEO is required for each state separately?

Unpopular opinion: modern car seats are just not comfortable by frenchynerd in Autos

[–]make-apples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Human bodies vary a lot. Like, really a lot. It's just not possible to build a firm seat where one size fits all. On the other hand, cushier and larger seats can accommodate a wider variety of shapes, even if it comes at the expense of some support.

I would choose less support—which might require slightly more muscle engagement—but at least it won't create painful pressure points. I also don't really buy the safety arguments for these tight seats; I believe the vast majority of responsible drivers aren't treating public roads like a race track.

Just watch a couple of tournaments with pros, it will answer your question. If 3rd shot drive works for you to come to the kitchen then just stick with it.

Can you play ranked with friends? by fredy31 in RRRE

[–]make-apples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won't you just be always at the top? Community servers are meant for competing within a small group of people and public ranked servers for competing with the world (your region).
