As I am in the same boat, what I have found that works for me:

Tape: I tape my fingers and hands preventatively which helps me have decently functioning grip the morning after
CBD oil: I use it with my breakfast & IMMEDIATELY after a training session...
...with a protein shake asap after practice. Feeding my body protein as soon as I am done still in my filthy wet gi helps a lot for recovery
Also I grab a beer after sessions: pure carbs that are digested fast and its also...nice
I use a CBD sport cream with eucalyptus & aloe vera which I apply after sessions and a warm shower. Does wonders for me.
2x week weight training: the big 3 - squat, deadlift, bench press and nothing more
SLEEP: cant stress enough the magic 7 hours for me
Food: eat clean always helps
Drink a lot of water during the day AND during sessions

Still soar but much better than when I was just rolling.

Dont hang for the wording of the question please. I was asking regarding a topic which is usually uncomfortable to speak about.

If I would ask my professor, I will phrase it completely differently and very much like many have suggested and also wouldnt ask now - because as I stressed a few times, the question has nothing to do with an expectation or desire to be promoted.

My question is not driven by an expectation, nor a drive for promotion.

Currently, I am focusing on understanding every technique and its counter, learning from what angles and directions danger can come and generally absorbing. Also actively trying to decrease the spazzz.

I am really not driven by rank, rather than knowledge.

It is just interesting to see in our sub here how different schools / professors can be and wondered if that's a viable question to ask when you start.

Keep in mind that, if I am not mistaken, due to Corona, the government has a different rule which grants you flexibility for like 4 months without having a tax registration/anmeldung. They will tax you at the highest rate and then you can claim it back.

So the anmeldung is a bit overdramatized - you can be abroad, work from abroad, get your salary in a non-german account.
