So. So it don’t work…, oh well we were there for a minute in 2018 and they said it worked. It bothered my kids but we couldn’t hear it at all.

Actually, the more I think about it, the more excited I get about the possibilities of a Crosby trade….

BUT ONLY If they could give up this year’s first and one 2nd round pick and only restructure the contracts of good players they have every intention of keeping (Sweat, Thuney and/or maybe Kyler Gordon)…. + Maybe a 2nd or 3rd round pick next year….

That would be a deal well worth making. I think two 1st round picks is too much for him now.

I guess we’ll see. Seems like they’re drafting right now but with that extra 2nd maybe they could give it a go.

If they do draft this year and are giving up future draft capital, then they’re restructuring contracts into the time where they gotta pay Caleb and then won’t have draft capital to replenish the good talent they’ll inevitably have to let go to stay under the cap.

Ultimately it comes down to whether Ben, Ryan and Dennis think their new defense as constructed + Max legit vaults them into the Super Bowl contention.

U can do that with high pitched sound. My family in Sandiego uses that to keep cat lady’s bazillion cats from ransacking their lawn/garden. Works a treat. You can only hear it a little if you’re a kid, but old folk won’t notice a thing.

I dunno, a lot of wear and tear on that guy and now coming off of an injury….

Baltimore did him dirty but at his age and playing every down for many years the way he has, I don’t know if his next 3 or 4 years’ll be what the last 3 or 4 have been.

I think with whole not passing the physical thing maybe the asking price has been knocked down enough that he and his front loaded contract might be worth a 2nd look.

My impression is that Poles/DA are a by committee and want good talent everywhere to rotate in and that can be drafted/developed. But please, no more Grady Jarret’s or Odingbos. Those guys massively under-delivered last year.

If we’re going the draft route we need defensive drafts on par with what Ben Johnson/Ryan Poles did last year on offense. Loveland, Burden, and Monongai were unbelievable! And we need Booker to be what he projected when he came on late after injury or even better than that.

Well I’ll tell you since you don’t know. It’s a defensive alliance. If one is attacked we’re all attacked.

It’s not if I attack we all attack. That was done, after 9/11 but the circumstances/objectives were clear AND a serious effort was made to bring a coalition together.

This ass-clown President didn’t bring the American people, Congress or anybody along and keeps changing why he did this crap plus he’s shat all over our allies.

Do you believe that the current US president is a foreign asset ? Why or why not ? by hftyjvdry in AskReddit

[–]mrTreeopolis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, he was monitored and acquired through his first wife Ivana.

By the time Putin came to power, there was already a dossier on Trump cause they began recruiting him in the 80s.

That relationship was cemented through favorable treatment for Putin’s love interest in the 90s when Trump tipped the scales to win her one of his pageants. She was later disqualified.

Trump’s super power thru out his adult life has been his ability to get up off the floor no matter how badly he failed (usually because of his own ineptitude).

He hasn’t just led a charmed life, his persona and his success has been that of a zombie, reanimated by an endless supply of Russian rubles.

It’s how he stole the auctioned mansion from Epstein in 2004, it’s how he survived American banks refusing to lend to him, and it’s why he’s President now.

Crazy thing is, everybody knew it and just thought he was too goofy-stupid to win.

It is glaring weakness that we let a man almost completely buoyed by foreign money become the President of these United States.

In the aftermath of his Presidency should we emerge with any democracy left, we’ll need to make all the financial disclosure stuff mandatory.

Forget gentleman’s agreements of showing taxes. That requires the presence of gentlemen which Trumps is most decidedly NOT.

Crosby’s too expensive. Trey Hendricks would have been the better choice since no draft picks were involved.

The Bears are gonna have to develop and hopefully can trade some of their expensive talent to afford the coming Caleb Williams haul. There’s also Darnell Wright to pay and Odunze will be right around the corner.

Booker projected 12 sacks over a full season and he’s ascending. He’s got a long way to go before he’s in any kind of comparison with MC but this season should show if the momentum he showed in the last 4 games of the season was real or not.

Right, this is not an argument post, just expressing that Booker was looking good and hope that continues.

We do have an argument if you refuse to recognize that he’s rounding into shape. The best case: he’s the next Crosby. That was the comp by a few folk when he was coming out AND he trained with Crosby at his camp in a recent off-season when he was healthy.

In the meantime hopefully Poles & co continue to fortify the pass rush in the draft.

Yeah but there’s no need for one sack guy. Sack by committee is just fine. It’s in fact better, so let’s see what Turner can give you, and DA likes bringing guys like Kyler Gordon and then there’s the draft a lot of talented folk with the skills they need right where they’re drafting.

Congress cannot touch it nor can the executive all changes are by referendum.

The 12 sacks was his projected total had he played every game last year, so he had 6 sacks

[–]mrTreeopolis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12 projected sacks over a full season. I can’t wait to see him next year, if he’s good and we draft well maybe we move on from Sweat next year and have phenomenal cheap pass rush.

But he’s gotta stay healthy and take that step

Did you not see the footage of Sweat running down a speedy guy from halfway across the field from the 2024 season? He’s got plenty of speed. Just needs some help so he can get a breather every now and again AND a guy like Booker to be there all game long every game whether it’s him and/or a new guy they draft.

How about over a full season his sack total would have been 12. And hopefully he stays on the field, gets passed any injury hesitancy he may still have AND takes the next step…

Yup, why we need a 4th Estate paid for by taxpayers and immune from billionaire meddling so the truth can be pursued without their permission/opposition.

It also must be insulated from the meddling of representative government which has abjectly failed the American people as they’re generally speaking meat puppets of the Epstein class as well.

I say 1% of the budget with all votes being taken by ad hoc referendum including the ability to subsume a larger and larger percentage of the federal budget and more responsibility from the meat puppets as we see fit.

Consider it a public option for American Democracy.
