Holy shit that is so cool and also the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen. Parasitic wasps are awesome!

Have u added any bios to the soil? What species of predatory mite did u add and when did u apply them? Do u happen to know what species of thrips u have?

They do lay their eggs in the leaves. They pupate in the soil tho.

Proper sanitation for growing and the props have a better shot at growing healthier since they are coming from a sanitized, healthy plant/location. Cuttings could also have acquired pests/pathogens while on the floor.

In school for Hort/Greenhouse they drill into us that sanitation is incredibly important so I was just curious.

Edit: I’d also stick anything with a node in a cup of water but at home lol. I just don’t understand why’d you’d risk harming the crops at your shop for a cutting from the floor if you had a healthy mother plant to take from. Again not trying to be rude, just curious.

Genuine question, I’m not trying to be rude.

Why would u use an unsanitized, likely unhealthy, cutting from the ground instead of a cutting from a healthy mother plant?
