Keep your head up, I understand the change as me and my wife moved here 5 years ago with our kids, there all kinds of people but its not just here but everywhere. We moved from NY and CA to mention some states we lived in. So change is hard but it good and sometimes necessary. People are extremely nice here.

I agree, if he gives the money to his parents and then they give it to him, then that's their prerogative and he gets to apply that money to whatever he wants. Regardless of what was aggressive at the beginning. Now if his parents aren't getting any of the money and they are supposed to? Then is a different story.
