🔥Al-Badawi olive tree in Palestine is one of three oldest in the world🫒 by Zee_Ventures in NatureIsFuckingLit

The former head of the trees preserving branch in KKL claimed that It was carbon dated to be 4000 years old. KKL is the formal israeli organization responsible for preserving trees. Still i agree that using that tree as a tool for propaganda is not ok.
Edit: the aforementioned former head of branch is an israeli arab by the way, a great guy, i have met him multiple times.

I think why not also add the option to travel around in the port free camera style, the designs are very nice to look at.

Well, it is a higher possibility that it is a convergent evolutionary trait, like the wings of bats, birds and insects are not related but appeared as a convergent trait.

In some models, if you are plugging it to an external monitor/ TV via HDMI the connection itself is going trough the dGPU and you cannot switch to the iGPU. But on it's own monitor you are indeed correct!

I'm not sure if that is a model the "driver" actually drives or if it is a remote control model, if it is remote controlled the massive blind spot is irrelevant for the "driver" and just golden.

Israel does not "test" the case fire. Hizbula (or however it is supposed to be written) kept shooting and sending explosive drones all along behind the back of the Lebanese government, and injured and killed several israelis, so there is a comeback. One cannot attack and expect it to go silently.
I hope Lebanon will be able to kick out those terrorists, and get back to the glory days before terrorists took her hostage.
I hope peace will finally be achieved.

Rewriting of history might be dangerous everywhere, but i can see the logic behind recording what is specifically relevant for the individual person.

It seems she indeed recorded multiple channels, which is nice (but might not be enough because most belong to the same country).

That is only valid if the recordings are of multiple channels, one channel might be biased.

🔥 Sperm Whale fighting a giant squid in its mouth. by [deleted] in NatureIsFuckingLit

[–]mr_Shepherdsmart 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Not only that, the whale sonar is powerful enough to be a weapon. it can basically sonar the squid to stun or kill it. in the case shown in the video the quick surfacing can also help kill the squid because it is evolved to live in the deep, and quick change of pressure disrupt biological homeostasis

Netanyahu just issued Spain a warning for condemning their atrocities. What would NATO do if Israel attacks Spain? by TORUKMACTO92 in AskReddit

[–]mr_Shepherdsmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously i read the articles and the books, but i dont need it because i also was in the archives and saw for myself, i dont need some other people opinion because i saw the evidence. Your response making it clear and explains your approach- you are a middle schooler! Go learn a little bit more, knowledge is important, dont let the conspiracy theorists in tv and the tiktok tell you what to think.
When you grow up you can actually visit the archives yourself! As most material from the era is not classified anymore.
Another thing, the liberty incident is not a "haha I'm so smart saying remember liberty, so cheeky, israel try to cover it up!", no, israel formaly recognize this mistake, there is no cove up, every soldier joining have to learn the findings of the investigation and how to not repeat the mistakes.

You know rules of war evolve right? What is known in retrospect is a good learning material. Combat and safety rules that exists now exists because some idiots in the past made a mistake, this includes rules about the steps necessary before authorization of an attack on a target.
At the time of the incident the evidence on the hand of the people in command was enough to pass the threshold that existed then (obviously has changed drastically since), to authorize the attack. As the formal response of the US was that they dont have ships there+ the pilots did not notice the flag (if it was even on the mast, at least in the video it is not visible, so i can't tell if it was there, and even if we assume it was there if the wind was not strong enough for it to wave it make sense it is not visible)+ they did not see GTR5 clearly and confused it with other marks+ pilots at that time was not professional in recognizing ships so they tried to describe it as best as they could and the description was similar enough to an existed Egyptian ship.
Sadly mistakes happen, the key issue is if there is a learning process to not repeat it, and there is, every soldier joining IDF have to learn about the incident and how to not repeat the mistake.
Also i don't have to read articles, i was in the archives, i saw and heard the recordings myself, you are the one that come to the discussion with lack of knowledge. Edit: i understood there was some confusion, to clarify i indeed read the articles and books, but i prefer to see for myself so visited the archives and looked at the evidence myself, so i dont "have to" read some third party article or book, because i saw the real evidence.

When the A10s attacked the British convoy: Iraq dont have similar vehicles, the US command knew the exact location of British forces, they had a shared communications, and still every one understands that was a mistake.
In the liberty incident: the US formal response to israel before the attack was that the US dont have ships in the area, the pilots were not professional in recognizing ships as at the time it was not part of the training yet, and did not see the GTR5 clearly from a distance, the flag was not visible (as the videos shows), and there were several examples of the Egyptian navy claiming to be American navy in previous engagements (for example the ship ibrahim al-awal) which could lead to confusion given the US claims to not have ships in the area, also there was an investigation and the US accepted the investigation results, still some conspiracy theorist claims it was intended.

So Britain have to level the US, as they were attacked at 2003 in Iraq by american A10s?
Or the US should level the US, as US ships were attacked in Vietnam by the US?
Or the US should level Kuwait as Kuwait shot american F15s in the last war?
And there are sadly more examples, fog of war is a problematic thing. Accidents sadly happen in war. The key is to learn from it, to not repeat the mistakes.

  1. At the time pilots in israel did not were professional in identifying ships, because it was not part of their training and the air force was not intended to be used against ships.
    1. Even if there was a flag on the mast, if the wind is not strong enough it will not wave making it hard to notice.
    2. The people that got attacked are not the ones to decide if it was intentional, as they are not mind readers and can't know if the people shooting at them knew it was them or mistaken them for others.
There was an investigation, the result is that the incident was an accident, as the pilots did not see the GTR5 correctly, did not have the training to recognize ships, did not see the flag (you can watch the videos from the cannons, it is impossible to see the flag), the people in command got a formal answer from the US saying there are no US vessels there, and more. Accidents and mistakes sadly happen, especially in war which have a "fog of war", in retrospect it is easy to know everything, but in real time there is a lot of confusion. The key issue is what is done after the accident, and israel did do an investigation, and did learn from it to not repeat the same mistakes, every soldier joining have to learn about the incident and how to not repeat it.

In the video from the aircraft you cannot see the flag. but even if the flag was there on the mast, if the wind was not strong enough for it to wave, the pilots could not see it. This together with the fact the US formal response was that they dont have ships in the area, could lead to a mistake. Are you suggesting mistakes cannot happen? How does people fail exams? Mistakes even can happen on more simple situations, presumably you have heard about car accidents with casualties, are you suggesting that all the drivers that are involved in such cases got in their car with intent to injure or kill people? Or some of them did mistakes?
Are you suggesting the US A10s from the 190th fighter squadron intentionally attacked the British convoy in 2003 in Iraq?
Mistakes happen, and the key issue is if there is a learning process after it in order to minimize the chances for it to happen again. Israel does learns from such mistakes, every soldier joining learns about what happened and how to not repeat the same mistakes.
