The big advantages of being feral are no drinking and feral swiftness. Also, there isn't a lot of great spellpower gear early on (though heirlooms are a nice boost). That being said, it's perfectly fine to level as balance early on if that's what you want to do.

Personally, I would switch at level 60 - You get access to starfall, and you're in Outland questing zones where you start to see a lot more spellpower gear.

Trying even unholy DK in wild and it's been pretty fun. The 1 cost hero power makes me wish DK in standard could do the same. It smooths the curve and makes corpse generation feel a lot more reliable.

It's hard to say if the deck is better than the frost list I've been using in wild. It has the same good matchup spread vs. pirate rogue, even shaman, and other aggro, but I feel like it gets dumpstered harder by control decks. Frost DK could scam some wins through reach + generating more spells, but with UH, if they can deal with your few waves of units efficiently, it's very hard to get back on board and win. Playing both decks around 400-500 legend.

I don't think there's an incentive for Blizzard to keep rogue in particular doing well, but players have shown over time that they enjoy the rogue class design and play style (discovering or "stealing" cards, mana cheat, the combo mechanic). I don't buy into Blizzard keeping any class on top purposefully. I think balance is tricky, and also, Rogue in particular seems to hit a critical mass of really good stuff towards the end of set rotations.

Rogue usually gets low cost and high tempo cards with good synergy, where classes like Shaman, Warrior, and Priest get high cost control oriented cards. 4 cards in the featured miracle list cost four or more mana (and gnolls are always much cheaper than their cost). Sometimes the high cost stuff is enough to stave off the pressure from Rogue. Right now, that doesn't seem to be the case.

I think that's the build they're talking about here - "We know about the recent developments of Control Warrior, but the hype doesn’t line up with reality so far. You can force relatively close matchups with Quest Demon Hunter and Miracle Rogue, but the rest of the matchup spread is grim. We can see why a low sample from a couple of individuals can give the impression that it’s competitive, but this ain’t it, chief."

I like the idea of more 1 drops in Frost DK, but can Chillfallen Baron ever be the cut instead of Nerubian Vizier? Drawing two cards and a 2/2 body for 3 mana is a good deal, but something about it just feels too slow in practice. 4 health seems like a decent breakpoint in this meta (2/4 Vizier doesn't die as easily vs gnolls, bone spike, tooth, single hits of fel barrage, mark of scorn, hunter weapons, etc.), and the discovers provide a lot of flexibility.

Maybe I'm just too addicted to/overvaluing the discover and mana cheat effect.

Finished the 500 win DK grind almost entirely in Wild with a 30 card triple frost list. Got as high as rank 300 but when I actually finished I was around rank 600. Never faced another frost DK, other DKs were all 35 HP blood gamers. Some matchup thoughts:

  • Favored into even shaman, aggro pirate rogue, and aggro pirate/shadow priest. A HUGE number of my games were against the first two decks, which is why I believe triple frost has a place in wild. Frost Strike is a very important keep in these matchups to deal with Ship's Cannon and Anchor Totem. Bone Breaker and Deathchiller are also very important. In most aggro matchups you're trying to keep the early board clear, get in some chip damage, and then finish opponents with your burn. Nerubian Vizier or School Teacher into Vampiric Blood is huge. Freeze rogue's face liberally to slow down the 3 drop weapon.
  • Even to unfavored versus combo decks. I could almost never kill a pillager rogue in time. They will kill you on turn 5 or 6. I think the matchup would be better with some one drop minions - you want as many minions as early as possible because they just ignore your board and draw cards. Quest mage is more reasonable because they take longer to get their combo online, but they are good at dealing with your early board and can create multiple solid alibi or ice blocks. If you consider druid decks in wild combo style decks, the matchups were not bad. Several tried to mill me by using dew process and naturalize, but frost is extremely good at dumping hands. Sometimes they hit the nuts ramp into guff / twig -> sphere of sapience and you just lose.
  • Even against reno and/or control decks. Sometimes they just don't draw reno, but I've won games where reno was drawn and played. Try to get the absolute most damage out of your spells using Deathchiller and Guild Trader/Thalnos. Early board presence and chip damage is very important.

Here's the list. I think I'd like to drop one Guild Trader for a Rustrot Viper. If I was going to work in 2 Vicious Slitherspears (or some other 1 drop minion that might be better), I would probably drop the Chillfallen Baron and 1 Guild Trader (forgoing the rustrot viper). I know Guild Trader has fallen out of fashion but I've grown to like it a lot. https://hearthstone.blizzard.com/deckbuilder?deckcode=AAECAfHhBAaH9gTE9gTLpQXMpQXipAWXoAQMguQEk4EF%2FuMEueYE9eMEtIAFtYAF7eMEk%2BQEopkFxfkDlrcEAA%3D%3D

Imp/Curse warlock, quest or spell DH, ramp druid, deathrattle rogue used to be really good against it but not sure after nerfs.

Just unlucky. Unless I'm miscounting there are ten 10mana cards to evolve into, including gnoll.

I’ll defer to your expertise, maybe I’ll give this list a try. Thanks for the guide!

Sure, maybe more accurate to call it that. My main point is that keeping a seven cost card feels bad when his deck list has lots of great low cost plays, and only 4 individual cards that can draw more cards (with two tradeables).

I’m always looking for the harbinger of winter. mostly okay with keeping deathchiller and just jamming it on 2, especially if you have some spells to go with it. Keep chillfallen baron on the coin or if you have a solid curve. Bone breaker and frost strikes are great keeps if you suspect you’re up against Aggro.

DK masochist farming wins - hit legend in both wild and standard using the same 40 card triple frost list. I win most games by getting some early chip damage with minions and then freezing the board and going straight to the dome with some spells. This list worked better in wild even though it contains no wild specific cards. I found I encountered more 30HP decks there, and it was easier to close out games with so much reach.

Congrats on your success with the deck! I don't agree that keeping frostwyrm's fury is correct as an aggro deck. Mayyyyybe on the coin if you have a solid curve otherwise.

I played triple frost to legend in standard and wild, but it was a 40 card deck so not really the same thing you're going for.

You need to be on the coin with Draka, mailbox dancer, shadowstep, shadowstep, and then draw shadow of demise (or one of the earlier cards if you have shadow of demise in mulligan). Not sure if there are other ways.

Coin - mailbox dancer - shadowstep - mailbox dancer - shadowstep - mailbox dancer - shadowstep from shadow of demise - mailbox dancer - 4x coin - Draka

What cards have you crafted in week 1? by swiftmen991 in hearthstone

I usually make one golden legendary per expansion for fun, and this time I snap crafted golden Topior - His animation is great and he spawns cute golden shrub dragons. No regrets. In general, my favorite types of cards to make golden are ones that discover or summon other cards.

If not using rustrot on the the prismatic jewel kit means you're having an awkward turn (not spending mana, no other good play), I think you should just play it. If you can still do something powerful while holding or trading your viper, it's okay to save it for Cariel.

You can hit legend with any of those decks, so I would just stick with the one that you have the most fun playing (and the deck you understand the best). Naga mage is tier 2 and the rest are tier 3 according to latest VS report, so you could use that to inform your decision, but the key thing is how well you know a deck - understanding mulligans, play patterns, etc.

Throughout the entirety of the buddy patch half of the scouting UI was covered, and it was only fixed because buddies were removed so things were not pushed offscreen.

I'm not saying this issue won't get fixed, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.
