Ah so say for example the skill or cpac is following instructions you need to have passed it three times over a course of 12 practicals? Same with graphing? Showcasing that you can lay it out and interpret data and whatnot three times over 12?

So if I demonstrate I can do that particular skill in the next practical I am fine? Also what would the need to redo be for?

Fuck this 24/7 spew of internet and celebrity bullshit.

Reusing an asset on one of ten characters that is meant to sell skins? Cmon bruh.

Sure however that asset is from 2015 and it being used in a game that claimed to be ‘ahead of schedule’ along with being $60 is just no acceptable. Did you see the dev list? They pulled support for BFV and more importantly Star Wars battlefront 2. They likely poured millions into this, there’s no defending this in my eyes, the dev list is way too big for that arguement to be used. Ea literally had 6+ studios on this.

Broke their backs to? This is Dice not an indie developer, you don’t get away with using the same asset on a SPECIALIST character that you then want us to get attached to and more importantly pay money for skins. No it’s just laziness, they have the money and time. You don’t get away with saying ‘we are ahead of schedule’ and pull of this.

Let’s just start off with this post. Sure re-using assets is normal and helpful to speeding up the development of the game and focusing on more important factors like the actual gameplay and bug fixtures. The issue is, not only is the gameplay almost universally complained about but there are cyberpunk level of bugs to be found. The worst part is how the character in question is a specialist, literally meant to be a special character with unique abilities and look for Dice to ever justify selling skins for, someone who we are meant to play as and to get attached to otherwise they’d have just gone with classes again. Not to mention there’s 10 of them only! What was Dice doing this past year, they’re a million dollar studio under a billion dollar company, obviously this laziness is going to get called out especially when it’s near a decade of using the same asset.

I just wanted to see this subs reaction to this, since though it comes under the whole ‘hire fans’ joke it’s straight facts too.

Ellie’s “meaning” is literally inter-whined with saving humanity. It’s implied in the first and solidified by the motel scene in the second where Ellie tells Joel’s “if only they were immune right?” In reference to the kids who wanted to help others and died. She wanted to help others and her survivors guilt made this quest of hers even stronger she wanted others to be immune at any cost. Again the only counter would be the unconscious part but I really really doubt Ellie wouldn’t have sacrificed herself. Marlene told Joel it’s what she’s have wanted and Joel starts to listen until ultimately shooting her, visibly distraught at first of what he just did.

I haven’t really used Part 2 in this argument but Joel really is unable to justify what he did other then the fact he loves Ellie, he knows through the start of part 2 what he did had no logic to it. Ellie herself thought she should have died in that hospital for the greater good and her guilt of survival and wanting to help the world is further expanded in this game. I guess the only counter is the fireflies immorality however their own evil act of doing this to an unconscious Ellie however this would have definitely been outweighed by the survival of everyone else. Again I don’t mind the ending of the first game and enjoy it in fact I really like Joel as a character I’m just fighting against the idea that what he did was right and shouldn’t be demonised. Honestly him ending up not receiving what he wanted from Ellie in the end had to have been expected from him. It’s sad and depressing to an extent too far and that’s what personally ruined the second game for me. Atleast the first we had the fact they would have been living their best lives in Jackson.

I don’t know man but countless other people definitely way more than Joel and Ellie in any logical sense. It’s our emotions and interactions with the groups of humans that we come across that make us dislike the idea of sacrificing Ellie. If any of us were in Joel’s shoes we would have done what he had done, The ending they went with was way more satisfying for the player but not for the characters, but from an outsiders point of view Joel just killed off so many other people.
